Her mother eventually lost control of the embryo and was killed by Nangong Qingtian; Jinse left the Elf Clan afterward and did not return for nearly two centuries. 743 779

For years, Jinse believed that Lingqin's involvement with Nangong Qingtian had contributed to her mother's death. When Qingtian later revealed the circumstances surrounding his affair with Lingqin and Mu'er's birth, Jinse concluded that Lingqin had not been responsible and apologized to her.
