Background / History

Die was a Snake-Woman transported in a caravan through the Tagor Desert when Chen Mo encountered and freed her. She was injured, suffering from amnesia, and initially unable to understand cultivation or the motives of those pursuing her. Chen Mo's repeated protection convinced her that he differed from the humans who had captured her. 1 4 6 10

Though raised amid centuries of hostility between humans and Snake-People, Die gradually came to hope that the two races could coexist. She credited Chen Mo's care, food, and willingness to risk himself for changing her view. 12

Her memories returned during the confrontation with Queen Medusa. Die recalled that she and Queen Medusa were twin queens born from the same egg. When Chen Mo was gravely injured protecting her, Die chose to return to the Snake-People Clan so that her sister would spare him; this decision also made her recognize her love for Chen Mo. 16 17

Queen Medusa later sent Die to receive Medusa's Inheritance. After completing the inheritance, Die returned at Seven-Star Dou Emperor and openly defended her relationship with Chen Mo despite her sister's objections. 19 100

Die shares Queen Medusa's nearly identical beauty, though her demeanor is described as purer and cuter while retaining some of the Medusa twins' natural allure. 100
