"Holy shit..."
In a shadowy corner of the ruins, Deadpool froze after hearing Yang Ming's brazen speech to Death about bosses and employees, dumping all the blame on someone else. His white eyes went perfectly round.
He stood stunned for a full three seconds.
Then, a second later-
"Hahahahaha!" Deadpool burst into wildly exaggerated cheers. He spun around, broke the fourth wall, and clapped furiously at thin air, even letting out a wolf whistle.
"Dear viewers! Did you hear that?! Open your ears and listen up!" Deadpool waved his arms in excitement, pointing at Yang Ming as he shouted, "Now that's the mindset of a true Qidian protagonist! That's the swagger a leading man should have!"
"What does hardcore look like? This! He dared to dump the blame for one of the Five Cosmic Entities onto the system without batting an eye! This boss is a keeper. When trouble comes, he really steps up to take the blame... pfft! I mean, he really knows how to pass the buck!"
Deadpool sidled up to Yang Ming and gave him two thumbs up, his voice brimming with utter admiration.
"Brother, you've earned my respect. I used to think storming into Marvel's editorial offices and killing the artist was pretty damn outrageous, but you've got even bigger balls than me! That speech belongs in a textbook called A Guide to Resisting Your Boss's Manipulation!"
Yang Ming adjusted his Gold-Rimmed Glasses without expression and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke, his gaze still as cold as an emotionless killer's.
"I was merely stating a basic business principle." Yang Ming flicked the ash from his cigarette, his tone flat. "She doesn't pay my wages, so she has no right to order me around. What? Do you think anything I said was wrong?"
"No! You're so
