"Whoosh!"
A shrill rush of wind blasted toward him.
On Dave's mask display, the threat warning instantly flashed red.
Too fast!
The thought had barely crossed his mind before his body reacted. That muscle memory had cost him twelve broken ribs, courtesy of Bruce and a solid wooden staff in the basement of Wayne Manor.
Dave abruptly dropped his shoulder, raised his left arm to protect the artery in his neck, and slashed upward with the tactical folding knife in his right hand.
"Clang-scrape!"
The teeth-grating shriek of tearing metal erupted.
Felicia's white claws sliced viciously across Dave's left-arm armor. The carbon nanotube coating produced by Wayne Enterprises could withstand bursts of assault-rifle fire, yet her claws gouged several white scratches into it!
The tremendous force slammed through his arm. Dave felt as though a dump truck had hit him at full speed.
"Boom!"
He flew backward and slammed into the Roman column behind him. Cracks spread across its marble surface, and fragments of stone rained down.
Warning: left-arm armor integrity reduced by 20%. Micro-motor damaged.
A line of red text scrolled across his tactical visor.
Dave swallowed the blood rising in his throat and stared at the silver-haired woman with slit pupils a few meters away.
What the fuck is this human T. rex? If she didn't have white hair, I'd think Boss Jessica was beating me up!
He screamed inwardly. Her strength was even more terrifying than that of the machine gunner he'd encountered at Warehouse 13!
On the outside, however, Dave slowly straightened and brushed the dust from his chest.
"Decent strength." He lowered his voice, making it cold and raspy. "But no technique whatsoever."
Felicia ignored him completely.
She glanced at the stone tablet on the floor, then listened to the sirens drawing closer
