Night fell, and Gu Wenze arrived at the hospital.
When he walked into the ward, Qiao Hua was sitting on the bed eating dinner.
Hearing footsteps, Qiao Hua looked up and gave Gu Wenze an indifferent glance before returning to her meal.

Gu Wenze narrowed his eyes. "How did he know you were in the hospital?"
Qiao Hua said casually, "He went to the house to see you and heard from the nanny that I was in the hospital, so he stopped by to visit me."
Only then did Gu Wenze's expression soften considerably. "Since when did you and my brother get so close? I thought you two never got along."
Qiao Hua shrugged. "Maybe getting dumped by his girlfriend hit him too hard."
Qiao Hua found it strange, too. Gu Junxing used to make a few snide remarks every time he saw her, but now they got along quite well.
As Gu Wenze pondered this, his gaze settled on Qiao Hua's lips. Her rosy lips glistened with broth, and a trace of milk lingered at the corner of her mouth, making him want to kiss her.
Qiao Hua suddenly felt a burning gaze on her. When she looked up, she found Gu Wenze staring intently at her lips.
Sensing danger, Qiao Hua reached for the tissues on the bedside table. Suddenly, a hand caught her chin, and a searing kiss sealed her lips before she could react.
