"Just try cheating on me."
Gu Wenze suddenly spoke, his face darkening, startling Qiao Hua.
Qiao Hua gave him a baffled look. "What's wrong with you? Who said I was going to cheat on you?"
Gu Wenze's chest rose and fell slightly, his Adam's apple bobbing with suppressed anger. "Qiao Hua, I won't allow you to fall for Gu Junxing. Or any other man. You can't even think about it."
Qiao Hua protested, "You're being way too controlling! Why can't I even think about it?"
Gu Wenze gripped her chin, the pressure carrying a warning. "Because you're my woman now. I'm the only man allowed in your heart."
Qiao Hua scoffed inwardly, then lifted herself slightly to lean close to Gu Wenze's ear. "And what about you, President Gu? I wasn't the only woman in your heart before. Oh, wait, I wasn't in your heart at all. So what right do you have to demand that I stay faithful now?"
Her smile was radiant and alluring, but Gu Wenze caught a flicker of mockery in her eyes. He enunciated every word. "Because you're the only woman in my heart now."
It was practically a confession, and hearing it made Qiao Hua uncomfortable all over. She settled back into her seat. "Have as many women in your heart as you want. It's nothing to do with me."
