After sending the text, Gu Wenze put away his phone. As he lifted his hand, he spotted Qiao Hua clutching a pillow and tiptoeing toward the door.
"Where are you going?"
Gu Wenze stopped her with a low, stern voice.
Qiao Hua froze. She turned to face his thunderous expression and gave an awkward smile. "I figured you weren't feeling well today, so I was going to sleep next door."
Although Gu Wenze seemed fine now, who knew whether the drug had worn off? If he suddenly got worked up again in the middle of the night, with the two of them alone together, what would she do if he used her to satisfy his desires?
The best solution was to get out of there.
Gu Wenze hooked an arm around Qiao Hua's waist and pulled her back. "Just try leaving. Do you think I won't lock you up?"
Hearing the threat in his voice, Qiao Hua had no choice but to abandon the idea of leaving.
