Arc 5The Banquet and the Incense

Ye Tangtang dazzled the Flower-Viewing Banquet, then helped expose the truth about the refugees from Qi Prefecture and Consort Shu’s memory-altering incense. Ye Yubei restored his memories and began repairing his relationship with Shen Qingqing, while Ye Tangtang and Jun Yuyuan grew closer as they visited the relief porridge stalls.

  • Ye Tangtang treated Jun Yuyuan’s wound, shared meals with him, and brought him to the Flower-Viewing Banquet, where she defended him by revealing he was Qin Ye Kingdom’s crown prince.
  • Ye Tangtang outperformed Ye Muxue in music, poetry, painting, and singing, then made a list of potential Princess Consorts and declared her interest in Xie Jingqian.
  • Ye Yubei learned from Lingyun that the incense called Never Forget had affected his memories, and hypnosis brought back memories of his early encounters with Shen Qingqing.
  • Ye Tangtang and Ye Mushuang found refugees from plague-stricken Qi Prefecture, and Ye Tangtang gave them food before informing Ye Yubei that Grand Secretary Lu had concealed their plight.

Arc 6Rebellion and Reunion

Ye Tangtang and Jun Yuyuan survived the palace rebellion, then reunited and married after Jun Yuyuan became emperor of the Qin Ye Kingdom. They built a family together, and the arc ended with them traveling toward Hangzhou as Jun Yuyuan revealed he could hear Ye Tangtang’s thoughts.

  • Ye Tangtang and Jun Yuyuan distributed food to refugees, while Prince Yue arrived with his own porridge tent and glared when the victims praised her.
  • Ye Yubei discovered Consort Shu’s pregnancy and confronted the Empress over the poisoned incense that harmed Shen Qingqing, then reunited with Shen Qingqing after she explained why she had once drunk safflower.
  • The King of Yue and Grand Secretary Lu surrounded the palace, but Ye Tangtang attacked the King of Yue with explosives and later shot him with a handgun.
  • Jun Yuyuan shot Prince Yue and stopped Ye Linci from seizing the palace, while Ye Yubei dealt with the rebels and the remaining conspirators.
  • Jun Yuyuan departed after Ye Tangtang gave him her pistol, and he asked her to wait for him to return as her Princess Consort.
  • Jun Yuyuan returned as emperor of the Qin Ye Kingdom, and Ye Tangtang agreed to marry him after he promised to protect her and take no other woman.
  • Ye Tangtang and Jun Yuyuan married, ruled together, and raised their children, while the system’s offer to let her leave was refused.
  • Ye Tangtang and Jun Yuyuan traveled toward Hangzhou, where he revealed that he had known about her ulterior motive because he could hear her thoughts.
