Fortunately, Gu Jingsheng reacted quickly and caught her.

"I'm just telling the truth. Eat your dinner properly and leave her alone!"
"That's right, Gu Bai. Don't break the Gu Family's rules. Eat your dinner," Gu Jingsheng added, raising his head.

Duoduo's eyes were narrowed, as though the dog was about to fall asleep.
Gu Luoxi was so hungry she felt dizzy. She no longer cared about anything else.
She crept forward, intending to take Duoduo's drumstick.
But the instant she snatched it, Duoduo suddenly woke and barked furiously at her.
Duoduo already had a short temper, and most people knew better than to provoke the dog. Having been disturbed from sleep, Duoduo bared sharp teeth and aggressively challenged Gu Luoxi.
Gu Luoxi jumped. "You filthy mutt, keep your voice down!"
When Duoduo wouldn't stop, Gu Luoxi glared threateningly. "Watch it, or I'll skin you and make dog stew!"
But instead of being frightened, Duoduo barked even more fiercely.
The barking woke everyone in the Gu Family.
Xia Zhiyun emerged in satin pajamas, her hair slightly disheveled. Clearly, she had just been woken up.

The more Gu Luoxi tried to explain, the worse she made it. Now everyone knew... she had been trying to steal Duoduo's food.
