Louis defeated the Imperial legions, then advanced through Greyrock Province as the Empire collapsed into a military coup and civil war. After Greyrock Castle fell and its monsters were destroyed, Louis secured the province and divided some of its lands among his allies while keeping its core resources under Red Tide control.

• Louis’s forces defeated Ackerman, Balt, and Saul, captured Graystone Fortress, and reorganized the three legions under Red Tide.
• Louis formed the Joint Defense Corps with the Northern Frontier nobles and revealed his plan to march south, while Rhein arranged Arlens’s disappearance and claimed imperial authority.
• Kalien led a military uprising that toppled Rhein, executed his allies, and declared that the Empire would be ruled by the military.
• Louis’s army took Black Iron Territory and advanced through Greyrock Province, winning local support as Kyle Raymont burned villages and forced refugees into Blackstone Gorge.
• Thomas disabled Kyle’s explosives, and Louis’s army crossed the gorge while Red Tide fed and organized the refugees.
• Kyle released the Dragon Blood Monsters beneath Greyrock Castle, and the creatures killed him and destroyed the castle’s defenders before Louis’s forces eliminated them with Boiling Blood Shells.
• Louis discovered the Ancient Dragon’s remains beneath the castle and gained a power that made weaker wills collapse under his gaze.
• Raymont retreated toward the Imperial Capital as Louis awarded lands to his allies, retained Greyrock’s key resources, and assigned Merian’s team to study the dragon remains.

Louis consolidated Red Tide’s rule in Greyrock, welcomed Varius and other specialists, and launched the steam warship Fernando against the sea powers. After defeating Balk and Meryl, Louis absorbed the pink coral’s power and learned that he had three and a half fragments left to find.

• Louis rejected Earl Albert’s proposal to take the crown, declared the Emperor missing, and ordered his denunciation of Kalien and Lampard sent to every noble.
• Louis and Red Tide rebuilt Greyrock through relief, public works, education, and centralized administration, while Pete brought aid and a new community to Black Swamp Town.
• Varius witnessed Red Tide’s orderly towns and accepted Louis’s offer to become its lawmaker, while Oland agreed to lead the dockyards and build steamships.
• Balk embraced the Brain Jellyfish’s influence, transformed into a creature of the deep, and killed the pirates gathered at Skull Fortress, while Deep Ones overran Miller’s ship.
• Louis sailed south aboard the armored Fernando, and Alwin’s warship destroyed the pirate fleet and the sea monsters threatening Red Tide’s vanguard.
• Louis defeated Balk and Meryl at Skull Fortress, then entered the cave alone and destroyed its Deep Sea defenders.
• Louis resisted and absorbed the pink coral’s power, gaining new abilities and learning that he had three and a half fragments left to find.

Louis took the fight to the Golden Feather Flower Theocracy, rescued its victims, and destroyed its living temple before turning toward the Jade Federation and the awakening Dragon King. After learning how to gather the rampaging Original Sin, Louis returned to confront August as he attacked Red Tide.

• Selton allied with Salomon and claimed the regency, but the Holy See turned the Empire’s famine into witch hunts and executed Selton after his own knights rejected him.
• Louis accepted Duke Calvin’s authority, reviewed Red Tide’s modern army, and led its campaign south to liberate White Stone Town from the Holy See.
• Red Tide rescued survivors in White Stone Town and launched a naval assault on the Golden Feather Flower Theocracy, destroying its defenses and advancing on Avalonia.
• Louis defeated Eduardo and the Crown of Golden Thorns, gained a fifth halo, and ordered aid and reconstruction in the Southeast before learning Lampard had been captured.
• Kalien’s attack on the Jade Federation ended when Mamon devoured his army, while Ernst August awakened as a True Dragon and the Federation advanced through the Empire.
• August emerged from the tombs, defeated Mamon and the Jade Federation, destroyed Crystalrock City, and declared that he would establish a new God's Kingdom.
• The Forest Keeper explained the broken seals of Original Sin and charged Louis with stopping the Dragon King’s descent, then transferred sloth and Magewood’s magic power to him.
• August attacked Red Tide, but Lambert’s knights wounded him with magnetic powder before Louis appeared and froze the battlefield.
