"Yao!"
Tsunade was the first to lose her composure. She grabbed Uchiha Yao's arm, her face full of anxiety and confusion.
"What the hell are you doing?!"
"They've gathered at least eight thousand people! We only have two thousand. We have to rely on a surprise attack and the advantage of our formation to tear through their defenses! And now you're telling everyone to stay put?!"
"You want to go alone?"
Shikaku Nara stepped forward as well, his expression more solemn than ever.
"Hokage-sama! Please reconsider!"
"This is no longer the time to play the hero! They have eight thousand ninja! No matter how weak they are, sheer numbers and Chakra alone would be enough to wear down any Kage-level powerhouse to death!"
"Your safety concerns Konoha's entire future! You absolutely cannot take such a risk here!"
Shikaku Nara's mind was racing wildly, yet he could not understand Uchiha Yao's intentions at all.
This went against every principle of warfare!
This was suicide!
Hearing their objections, Uchiha Yao merely smiled faintly.
He gently took Tsunade's hand and swept his gaze over the two of them.
"Shikaku, what you said is indeed correct, but you don't understand my true intentions."
"Tell me, how many people did we bring this time?"
Shikaku Nara froze for a moment before answering instinctively, "Two thousand."
"That's right. Two thousand."
Uchiha Yao nodded.
"Given Sunagakure's size, even if it has declined, it wouldn't be surprising for them to gather an army of nearly ten thousand by mobilizing the entire village. You should know that better than I do."
"Normally, to deal with an enemy like that, we would need to deploy at least five thousand elite troops, if not more, to guarantee victory."
"But I only brought two thousand."
"Do you understand why now?"
