Losses and Departure from Konoha

Tsunade grew up cherished by Hashirama and Tobirama Senju and later earned international recognition as one of the Legendary Sannin. The deaths of her younger brother Nawaki and her lover Dan Katō left her deeply disillusioned with Konoha. She departed the village and spent years traveling with her disciple Shizune, using gambling and alcohol to numb her grief 161 164 166.

During the Second Shinobi World War, she proposed assigning a medical ninja to every four-person team. The village’s senior advisors rejected the idea, contributing to her loss of faith in Konoha’s leadership.
