Dark Angel Rebirth Pool

The Dark Lord noticed Sean staring at his Angel Rebirth Pool and asked, "Sean, what is it?"

"Nothing." Sean replied, "I'm rather interested in the angels of the Bright and Dark God Planes."

The Dark Lord asked curiously, "Why?"

Sean replied, "As you know, Dark Lord, among the Four Edicts and Seven Laws, my Death Rule is the only one with a Profundity that can use Soul Seeds and Soul Bewilderment on other gods. My cultivation is focused on researching Soul Seeds and Soul Bewilderment;

and I also know that the angels of the Bright and Dark God Planes are absolutely loyal to the Lord Gods. They are even more loyal than those bound by Soul Seeds, and they do not cause any strain on the soul. So I am curious how this is accomplished."

Seeing the many angels and the Rebirth Pool immediately reminded him of the second scene he had seen within the Soul Pearl—the Twelve-winged Dark God Angel.

If that angel could appear within the Soul Pearl, it meant he had been very important to that Lord God. If Sean could find him, he might be able to find that Material Plane. That was assuming the angel was still alive.

According to the original description, once a Lord God died, their angels would become free. As for where they went afterward, no one knew.

"Haha, the Death Lord Gods studied that question long ago." The Dark Lord laughed. "But none of them succeeded. No one could understand how the Angel Rebirth Pool accomplished it;

but if you are interested, you may study it. I can also tell you some of the secrets of the Angel Rebirth Pool."

"I would be grateful for your guidance, Dark Lord," Sean said.

The Dark Lord first asked, "Sean, you know that the God Planes of the Laws were created by the Lord Gods of their respective elements, correct?"

"I know." Sean nodded.

This was no secret to peak Asuras, because some Asuras had truly survived from the earliest era. Some had even participated in the struggle for Sovereign Sparks back then, so many secrets had naturally been passed down.

There were also some Lord God descendants who knew certain secrets of the Lord Gods. As long as they did not involve anything especially important, those secrets might be leaked to others.

The Dark Lord said, "After the Bright and Dark God Planes were born, these Angel Rebirth Pools naturally appeared as treasures. They are indestructible, and their properties are much like those of the planar Teleportation Arrays;

even we Lord Gods can only instinctively form contracts with them. Then we learn how to seek out pure souls from Material Planes and transform them into angels."

"Then does that mean the Angel Rebirth Pools are treasures bestowed by the Supreme Gods?" Sean asked.

The Dark Lord replied, "I do not know whether the Supreme Gods deliberately gave them to us, but they are certainly treasures on the level of Supreme Gods;

for example, souls in Material Planes can be directly drawn into the Rebirth Pool through the Magic Array of the Angel Rebirth Pool. Even Lord Gods cannot accomplish such a thing. Only the power of Supreme Gods, or the Laws of the World, could possibly do it."

"That is somewhat like how, after those below God level die, their souls enter the Netherworld," Sean said after thinking for a moment.

The Dark Lord smiled. "Exactly. Many Lord Gods, as well as many Paragons like you, have wanted to study these workings of the Supreme Gods, but no matter how they researched them, they achieved no results;

if you want to study it, go ahead. I will have people cooperate with you. But if you discover anything, you must tell me. How about it?"

Lord Gods were powerful, but when it came to research, they were not necessarily superior to Paragons. If they could not figure something out themselves, having a Paragon try was not a bad idea.

However, the results of countless trillions of years had shown that treasures on the level of Supreme Gods could not be researched successfully. Even Orloff, the research fanatic Destiny Master, had achieved nothing.

And Sean was a newly advanced Paragon. He likely would not give up without trying, so the Dark Lord was happy to grant him this favor. He would lose nothing anyway, and if Sean truly defied the heavens and discovered something, it might even benefit him.

"No problem." Sean nodded in agreement.

He knew it was almost impossible for him to discover anything. He merely wanted to use this opportunity to search for information about the angel within the Soul Pearl.

He then tried asking, "Dark Lord, can I place Soul Seeds in these angels, or examine their memories? That might allow me to see what happened to them within the Angel Rebirth Pool."

"Haha, do you think we never considered that?" The Dark Lord shook his head with a smile. "These angels are protected by the power of the Angel Rebirth Pool. They cannot be implanted with Soul Seeds, subjected to Soul Bewilderment, or have their memories examined;

not even we Dark Lord Gods who formed contracts with it can do so. We merely make passive use of the Angel Rebirth Pool's power and can freely command the angels to do anything, even order them to seek death."

"So that is how it is." Sean probed further. "Then if a Dark Lord God terminates their contract with the Rebirth Pool, would the existing angels still be protected by the Rebirth Pool's power?"

"It is useless. Forget terminating the contract—even if..." The Dark Lord paused, seemingly unwilling to say more, before continuing, "We tried it before. It was useless. We still could not examine their memories;

killing an angel is easy, but examining their memories or using Soul Bewilderment and Soul Seeds on them is impossible. Even the Death Lord God could not use Soul Bewilderment on a Lower God Angel."

"Then I will simply take a look at the Angel Rebirth Pool." Sean had obtained the information he wanted.

However, he possessed the Soul Pearl, whose properties were far too extraordinary. Perhaps he could try it, but under the Dark Lord's watchful eye, he needed to be more cautious. If the Dark Lord discovered that he could place Soul Seeds in angels, things would become difficult to control.

The Dark Lord said, "As you wish, but let us handle the proper matter first. Long ago, I arranged for the Lord God Army to search the Dark God Plane for Saint Domain experts with the Evil Profundity. They are ahead of us, so you can go directly there."

"Alright, then I'll go over first," Sean replied.

After his divine sense was infused with Sovereign's Might, its range in a God Plane extended for hundreds of thousands of kilometers. It could easily cover the entire Mist Sea. In the palace ahead, there were several thousand Saint Domain experts.

Only the Lord God Army could so conveniently locate Saint Domain experts cultivating high-level Profundities, and gather such a large number of them.

Several decades later, Sean handed a transparent jar to the Dark Lord. "Dark Lord, this fragment is a Soul Stripping Fragment."

"Haha, thank you." The Dark Lord was overjoyed. He then gave Sean an interspatial ring. "Sean, there are ten thousand drops of Death Sovereign Power and ten thousand drops of Dark Lord God Power inside. Consider them my payment."

"Thank you, Dark Lord." Naturally, Sean did not stand on ceremony. After putting it away, he added, "Dark Lord, now that the matter is complete, I would like to study the Angel Rebirth Pool."
