"I need to open it carefully... Somehow, this doesn't feel like anything normal."
Muttering to himself, Kroya chose to accept the gift.
Once he received it, he discovered more than a dozen purple-red flowers as tall as a person, with enormous mouths and sharp teeth, along with earth-yellow sandworms as thick as an arm and thirty to forty centimeters long.
The flowers looked almost exactly like the man-eating plants from that game he had seen in his previous life, but they were far more terrifying.
Just looking at the overlapping rows of teeth inside their enormous mouths, like the blades of a flying guillotine, and smelling their bloody stench made him deeply uncomfortable.
By comparison, even the earth-yellow worms wriggling everywhere seemed rather pleasant to look at.
"So they really do need some artistic license. Seeing the real things right in front of me is honestly pretty terrifying."
He casually cast a few magical restraints to settle them down, then glanced at the descriptions the Gray Sand Lord had provided:
"Man-Eating Demon Flower: enjoys devouring all kinds of meat and can produce blood demon crystals...
Wind-Eroded Sandworm: can devour any rock and its preferred minerals, turning them into sand."
His eyes lit up after reading the descriptions.
These sandworms were pretty good.
Almost instantly, he thought of how he could use them.
He had been struggling with how difficult the underwater lava rock was to mine. Relying solely on human labor would be troublesome and slow.
If these sandworms could chew through rocks and minerals, they would save him an enormous amount of effort.
Surely magic insects were stronger than humans, at least?
He also intended to keep digging deeper beneath the seabed to see whether he could discover more mineral deposits and veins.
As for the Man-Eating Demon Flowers...
