Watching the laurel blossoms clash with the Moon Sea's magic from afar, Kroya thought for a moment, took out his notebook, and began recording.
Thanks to the magical sensors installed along the border, he recorded every reading and fluctuation produced by the collision between the God of Moon and Sea's divine power and Daphne, the Orpheus Family's ancestor.
He had no intention of stopping them-the Seven Gods Church guards nearby had already stepped forward to intervene, only to be struck squarely by laurel blossoms and moonlight falling from the sky.
He wasn't sure whether he was imagining it, but the Church of Light guards seemed to be taking the worst beating. A few had even been killed outright...
"I get the feeling there's a personal grudge involved."
Although the distant battle looked fierce, the land below remained unaffected, and trains crossing the border continued to run normally.

"Is there some sort of grudge between Lady Daphne of the Orpheus Family and the God of Sea and Moon?"

"Even the authority over fantasy that our Merfolk Tribe possesses belongs to that same deity.
"The Void God's great azure tree you saw back then was formed from those three authorities and an even higher authority. That's why the tree can bestow endless blessings and gospel.
"Er... I learned this a month after I was born. Didn't you know?"
"..." Kroya fell silent.
