In the end, hunger woke Kroya.

He was still just a pitiful Second-Level Mage, after all. He could hardly fill his stomach through meditation alone without eating anything.

Farther out, everything was pitch-black, visible only faintly during flashes of lightning-the gale drove the sea into a frenzy, raising waves several meters high that slammed into the island's shores and sent countless sprays of water flying.

Even through the window, Kroya could feel that terrifying power. The might of nature truly left people feeling utterly helpless.

This was the first time he had encountered such a heavy storm since arriving here. Before this, there had only been ordinary light showers.
