The underwater Air Coral base had expanded from its original three specimens to ten. They seemed to adapt much better to growing in the sea than in the freshwater lake.
They now covered an entire mu of seabed.
The enormous bubble was clearly visible underwater.
This was the seabed, after all. The lake behind the mountain was only a small freshwater lake; neither its water pressure nor the turbulence of its mana could compare to the sea's.
Ten corals sustaining a bubble that covered a whole mu was, frankly, already quite remarkable.
Given enough time, they might really form a massive underwater base, perhaps even one humans could live in.
As he descended, he peered into the bubble with a puzzled expression.
Mana lamps he had sent people to deliver already illuminated the bubble, making it stand out in the pitch-black sea.
The interior should have been bare, yet it had turned green, just like the bubble in the lake.
What's going on? Things can grow like this on the seabed, too? Don't tell me I've got another mushroom growing here.
This was his first visit since planting the Air Coral. Curious about what had happened here, he immediately sped up and plunged straight into the bubble.
With a soft pop, he made it inside.
Once inside the bubble, he stepped onto a soft bed of grass. It looked like perfectly ordinary, commonplace green grass, with nothing strange about it.
Had he seen it on land, Kroya would not have thought anything of it. Finding it on the seabed, however, felt very strange.
So he bent down and touched it.
Only to discover...
"This isn't grass?"
Startled, he pulled some out and held it in his hand for a closer look.
Each blade was a remarkably uniform two centimeters
