Ch. 101Moving the Sunflowers and Harvesting Sea-Pattern Shells

Kroya moved the evolved sunflowers across the castle grounds and set up conduits to collect their Sunflame Magic Power. He harvested a pearl inscribed with Water Luminary Sword runes and planned to turn it into a magical item for the knights.

  • Kroya learned that the Red Sunflower's aura could make nearby sunflowers grow a second flower, but the effect depended on its range and special conditions.
  • Kroya transplanted the sunflowers at wider intervals, applied the improved Magic Field Method, and connected them to conduits that carried their magic power to the laboratory's Magic Pool.
  • The Sunflower Sprite proved it could cover the castle and surrounding area, then happily began visiting the separated sunflowers.
  • Kroya inspected the Air Coral Base, where the ducks were tending huge shoals of fish that eagerly ate Ancient Pasture Fungus.
  • Kroya harvested a pearl bearing Water Luminary Sword runes, tested the sword it produced, and decided to craft the pearl into a magical item for the knights.

Ch. 102Fish for sale!

Kroya made the Water Luminary Sword and entrusted Rob with finding candidates for an intelligence-gathering group, while deciding against cruel methods of recruitment. After helping Joshua advance and receiving a huge catch of magic fish, Kroya offered most of them for sale through the Sacred Spring Trade Guild and was offered 11,350 Level One magic crystals.

  • Kroya crafted a flying Water Luminary Sword from sacred white iron and prayer light fireflies, then gave Rob the chance to choose who would receive it.
  • Rob suggested training orphans as loyal followers to gather information, but asked Kroya to oversee their recruitment himself; in exchange for the sword, Rob requested another Magic Baptism for his son.
  • Kroya agreed to Rob’s request and reflected that he would not manufacture suffering to make orphans dependent on him.
  • Kroya performed a Magic Baptism that advanced Joshua to a Level Two knight.
  • The sea spirit dolphins and ducks brought Kroya a huge haul of Level One and Level Two magic fish, which he sorted with the Sacred Spring.
  • The Sacred Spring offered Kroya 11,350 Level One magic crystals for the fish, along with gifts and promotion to Second-Level Member if he confirmed the sale.

Ch. 103Shopping and trading

Kroya spent his accumulated magic crystals on trees, plants, dolphins, and a teleportation array through the Sacred Spring Trade Guild, becoming a Second-Level Member and receiving a Clockwork Golem. After trading 1,500 Rosy Ribbonfish with the Flame Mountain Mage, Kroya sought a recommendation to join the mage lords and was told he needed a second sponsor.

  • Kroya learned he had 11,150 membership points, received a Clockwork Golem and exchange benefits, and advanced to Second-Level Member.
  • Kroya bought an Orpheus Swan Recorder Tree, an Energy-Storage Tree, Magic-Storing Hanging Flask Grass, Sea Spirit Dolphins, and a Multi-Space Passage Array Type C, spending 7,450 magic crystals.
  • The Sacred Spring Trade Guild connected Kroya with the Flame Mountain Mage, who traded 1,400 magic plants for Kroya's 1,500 Rosy Ribbonfish.
  • Kroya asked the Flame Mountain Mage to recommend him to the mage lords and learned that he needed two recommendations for guaranteed admission.
  • The Flame Mountain Mage suggested the Gray Sand Mage as a second sponsor, and Kroya sent him a letter before preparing to collect his purchases.

Ch. 104Resources! (Bonus chapter for Lazy Dragon)

Kroya settled in his new resources, planted Magic-Storing Hanging Flask Grass, and released the Orpheus Swan Recorder Tree, whose music gathered magic power and helped him understand the Song of Orange. After installing a magic array and releasing a hundred sea spirit dolphins, he turned to the more than a thousand fire-attribute magic plants and prepared to improve the magic field grape vine.

  • Kroya planted twenty Magic-Storing Hanging Flask Grass specimens and found that one had five flasks instead of the expected three.
  • Kroya released the Orpheus Swan Recorder Tree, and its music spread across the island, drawing in magic power and living creatures to join the chorus.
  • Kroya joined the tree’s performance with his orange magic power and gathered emotional sounds, bringing him closer to mastering the second movement of the Song of Orange.
  • Kroya installed the prepared magic array and released a hundred sea spirit dolphins, which joined his original two dolphins in the surrounding waters.
  • Kroya examined the Clockwork Golem’s astral spirit body and discovered that its central consciousness was a chip surrounded by countless independent components.
  • Kroya turned toward more than a thousand fire-attribute magic plants and prepared to improve the magic field grape vine.

Ch. 105Peas and stumps

Kroya expanded the magic field grape vine with the sunflame magic power produced by the sunflowers, creating a golden plot for fire-attribute plants. He planted flame stumps and tested impact peas, discovering that the peas could be coated in burning resin and considering how to develop them into practical weapons.

  • Kroya had the Woodstar Curving Vine King feed sunflame magic power into the magic field grape vine, which grew a pale golden field that astonished the farm servants.
  • Kroya cut a flame stump in half with Impact Blade and discovered that its fragrant resin burned only while supplied with fire-attribute magic power.
  • Kroya planted one hundred flame stumps, whose flames began to take on a faint golden tint as they absorbed sunflame magic power.
  • Kroya tested the impact peas and found that magical stimulation made them shoot with enough force to blast small craters in the ground.
  • Kroya coated fired peas with burning resin from a flame stump and watched them fly away wreathed in fire.
  • Kroya considered developing the plants with magic arrays, persistent or explosive flames, and ways to make the peas target specific magic signatures.

Ch. 106Magic Plants Created by a Red Dragon

Kroya discovered that the crimson dragonfruit trees and dragonbreath dark lotuses had mutated under a red dragon’s aura and saliva, then planted them using fire-infused sand and pebbles. After refusing to absorb the people’s offerings of faith, he finished planting his fire-magic field and began harvesting its fruits.

  • Kroya used the Astral Body Inscription Technique and learned that the crimson dragonfruit tree and dragonbreath dark lotus had been changed by a red dragon’s aura and saliva.
  • Kroya concluded the mutations had raised the plants from level one to level two and realized the Flame Mountain Lord was likely raising a red dragon, though he could not supply it with more fish soon.
  • Kroya read the Flame Mountain Lord’s planting guide, gathered sand and pebbles, and recognized the people’s offerings carried devout emotions that he chose not to absorb.
  • Kroya infused the sand and pebbles with Sunflame Magic Power, then planted the crimson dragonfruit trees and dragonbreath dark lotuses in a fire-element bed.
  • Kroya admired the completed field of fourteen fire-magic plant varieties and began harvesting fruits to taste.

Ch. 107"Gifts" and Anti-Magic Iron

Kroya sampled new magical ingredients and learned that Baron Kermoyer and Seliu had arrived on Reef Island. Seliu delivered a chained, naked condemned person as a gift from Young Master Olivier, and Kroya’s discovery of anti-magic iron in the cage left him curious about the prisoner’s significance.

  • Kroya cooked and enjoyed several spicy dishes made with scorching round peppers, while the Sunflower Sprite grew jealous and insisted he eat its seeds.
  • The Woodstar Curving Vine King told Kroya that Baron Kermoyer and Seliu had met at the Reef Island docks, and Kroya ordered them to travel by boat rather than learn of the teleportation Magic Array.
  • Baron Kermoyer arrived with Seliu and waited in the Lotus Reception Hall, bewildered by the chained person being transported in a cage.
  • Kroya met Seliu first and learned that Young Master Olivier had sent the condemned person as a gift and wanted more sunflower seeds in exchange for similar people.
  • Kroya touched the cage, recognized its anti-magic iron, and decided to investigate why Olivier believed the prisoner would interest him.

Ch. 108A humanoid magic crystal

Kroya discovered that Mir’s back contained a vast, gently flowing supply of magic that was transforming his body into a humanoid magic crystal. After learning the magic had stabilized following Nora’s Spirit Realm Walk, Kroya asked Mir to let him plant a magical plant inside the fissure for an experiment.

  • Kroya examined the fissure on Mir’s back and found that its magic was transforming his bones and blood vessels.
  • Kroya freed Mir, then used a Magic Lockdown Array to stop him from casting a Fireball Spell.
  • Mir reunited with the Phantom-Feather Cloud Snake, who introduced Kroya as his master and urged Mir to trust him.
  • Mir explained that Nora’s Spirit Realm Walk had preceded the stabilization of his magical fissure, after which the magic began consuming more of his body.
  • Kroya asked Mir to let him plant a magical plant inside the fissure so he could investigate it.

Ch. 109The Baron Who Took Flight

Kroya completed Baron Kermoyer’s magical artifacts, and the baron bonded with the Prayer Light Wings and tested them in flight. Kroya then began examining Mir with the Orpheus Swan Recorder Tree, whose reading left him stunned.

  • Kroya revealed the finished Prayer Light Wings and clay-tablet scroll to Baron Kermoyer, who bonded with the wings by drawing their sacred metal and fire into his body.
  • The wings emerged from Baron Kermoyer’s back, and Kroya healed his wounds with the Water Restoration Art while learning that the baron had inherited a light battle aura seed.
  • Baron Kermoyer flew over the seaside, returned to the hall, and activated the clay-tablet scroll, completing the three artifacts Kroya had made for him.
  • Kroya arranged for the Woodstar Curving Vine King to give the recovering baron a Magic Potion, then brought Mir and the Phantom-Feather Cloud Snake to the laboratory.
  • Kroya had Mir stand before the Orpheus Swan Recorder Tree, and its examination of Mir’s wound made Kroya question what he was seeing.

Ch. 110Aether Moss, Void Moon Leaf

Kroya extracted aether moss and a large amount of magic power from the fissure in Mir’s back, then soothed a violent surge with the Voidmoon Divine Tree. The spatial rift concealed itself, and a glowing crescent leaf on the tree asked Kroya for help and knowledge.

  • Kroya pulled the Orpheus Swan Recorder Tree’s branch from Mir’s wound and found blue-violet aether moss clinging to it.
  • Kroya stored the moss in an Astral Crystal Bottle and began drawing magic power from Mir’s wound, easing Mir’s pain as the tree absorbed it.
  • A violent surge erupted from the fissure, and Kroya soothed Mir while channeling the excess power into the Voidmoon Divine Tree.
  • Kroya sensed a spatial rift inside Mir’s wound before it rejected his magic and concealed itself.
  • A crescent-shaped leaf on the Voidmoon Divine Tree lit up and sent Kroya the thoughts, “Help me” and “Knowledge.”

Ch. 111Kroya's Spell Tide

Kroya transferred more than a hundred spells into the Voidmoon Divine Tree’s leaf, creating a powerful auxiliary magic device called Kroya’s Spell Tide. After testing it, he decided to use the prisoners as hosts for experiments grafting magical plants onto people or beasts.

  • Kroya dismissed the Phantom-Feather Cloud Snake and Mir, then entered the Astral Crystal Bottle’s sea to investigate the awakened Voidmoon Divine Tree.
  • The tree’s Spell Inscriptions began disappearing, so Kroya transferred them into a fallen leaf that eagerly absorbed the knowledge.
  • Kroya added the Merfolk Song, causing the inscriptions to merge into Kroya’s Spell Tide, an artifact that rapidly cast its stored spells.
  • Kroya summoned the leaf out of the bottle, wore it as a silver-and-blue-violet wrist ornament, and found that singing the Merfolk Song activated its spells almost instantly.
  • Kroya decided to obtain the remaining prisoners and experiment with grafting magical plants onto people or magical beasts.

Ch. 112I Bestow Light, You Grant Me Magic

Kroya grafted the Nightglow Grass onto the Energy-Storage Tree, then changed his approach so their relationship became mutually beneficial. Their spells transformed into the exclusive effect “I Bestow Light, You Grant Me Magic,” and a doorway opened in the Clover's glow.

  • Kroya inscribed Limb Reattachment on the Nightglow Grass and grafted it onto the Energy-Storage Tree, but the tree resisted the grass's parasitic attempt to absorb its magic.
  • Kroya reread “The Might of God: Demon and Knight” and realized the demon's limbs had accepted the knight because their relationship benefited both sides.
  • Kroya inscribed Magic Purification on the Nightglow Grass and Limb Reattachment on the Energy-Storage Tree, allowing the grass to return purified magic to the tree.
  • The Nightglow Grass and the Energy-Storage Tree developed the exclusive spell effect “I Bestow Light, You Grant Me Magic,” and the tree began supplying the grass with magic.
  • The Clover on the windowsill glowed, formed a doorway, and slowly opened it.

Ch. 113Beware the Wind and Snow

After an angel blessed the Nightglow Grass and warned Kroya to beware the wind and snow, he prepared Reef Island for severe cold. He devised a plan to heat residents’ homes with magic drawn from an underwater volcano and considered sending workers to manage the Undersea Pasture.

  • The angel awakened a genuine consciousness in the Nightglow Grass, strengthened its bond with the Energy-Storage Tree, gave Kroya sacred power, and warned him to beware the wind and snow.
  • Kroya asked the baron about Tidenovus, and the baron identified the name as an old goddess forbidden by the Church and recalled her Salt Stake artifact.
  • After the baron departed, Kroya instructed Sai Liu to trade sunflower seeds for convicts and told Rob to gather the island’s residents in preparation for cold weather.
  • Kroya proposed inspecting the collected sea stoneflowers and offering a wish to the person who gathered the most, giving him a way to provide shelter for the island’s residents.
  • Kroya designed rune-based heating and planned to draw fire magic from an underwater volcano, using Aether Moss as batteries and workers to supply heat while tending the Undersea Pasture.

Ch. 114The flowering tree beneath the sea

Kroya completed a seabed system that channeled fire magic from the Undersea Volcano through Magic Field Method branches to the Air Coral Base, where magic field moss produced harvestable flowers. On Reef Island, Semir prepared to make the wish Rob had hinted at as Kroya arrived to reward the task group.

  • Kroya inspected the Air Coral Base and found its bubbles stable near a volatile ocean trench.
  • Kroya placed the Aether Moss in an Astral Crystal Bottle and used a Magic Field Method array to channel fire magic toward the Air Coral Base.
  • Kroya guided the branches into the Air Coral bubbles and scattered magic field moss on them, producing dark red six-pointed flowers for careful harvesting.
  • Kroya completed his plan and left the seabed.
  • On Reef Island, Semir stood at the front of the gathered task group, anxious about the wish Rob had suggested he make.
  • Kroya arrived as the crowd awaited their rewards.

Ch. 115Traces of the crows

Kroya rewarded Semir for collecting Sea Stoneflowers by granting his wish for sturdy, comfortable homes, while deciding to seek more people for his territory. A mercenary then reported finding a moving island with crows, prompting Kroya to plan an investigation.

  • Kroya praised Semir for gathering seven hundred jin of Sea Stoneflowers and offered him a wish, while the crowd's emotions gave Kroya a glimpse of the Symphony.
  • Semir asked Kroya to teach them how to build houses, so Kroya formed a two-story cottage from white sand and promised homes, fresh water, and comfort to those who worked hard.
  • Kroya warned the people not to worship him as a god and said rewards would be earned through completing tasks.
  • At the bottom of the lake, the Platinum Ring projected a miraculous floating city before fading, and the angel murmured about a miracle bound to one person before falling asleep.
  • Kroya brought selected workers to the underwater pasture and taught them to harvest Magic Crystal Flowers and care for the animals.
  • A former mercenary told Kroya that he had seen a moving island ten li north, with grass and the crows Kroya had been seeking, and Kroya decided to investigate it.

Ch. 116Turtle eggs in the boat, a cloud island at sea

Kroya prepared Reef Island for his departure, then joined Jack on a fishing boat to investigate a mysterious island that appeared in the sea mist. He reached the cloud-covered island and discovered a flock of Angel Sheep.

  • Kroya left Rob in charge of Reef Island, gave him sacred white iron crossbows and fire-infused bolts, and ordered him to kill anyone who caused trouble.
  • Kroya noticed a Sea Demon Turtle egg hidden inside Jack's boat but chose not to disturb it.
  • Kroya and Jack set out with the sea spirit dolphins, which protected and propelled the boat toward Jack's reported sighting.
  • Mist appeared around the boat, revealing a vast island with Ancient Pasture Fungus growing across it.
  • Kroya discovered that the island's ground was made of magically gathered clouds, then flew ashore and walked inland with Jack.
  • Kroya found sheep with magical wings and golden halos, which the Astral Body Inscription Technique identified as Angel Sheep.

Ch. 117Void Luminary Shards, Blood Pasture Fungus

Kroya encountered Angel Sheep that dropped fragments of several luminary crystals, then crossed a field of blood pasture fungus and recovered an artificial magic tree. He left the island with Jack, unaware that a wise dragon had watched him and departed as the island vanished.

  • Kroya struck at three fleeing Angel Sheep, which escaped through a spatial rift after dropping multicolored crystal flakes, including three Void Luminary Shards.
  • Kroya identified the red grass beyond a fissure as blood pasture fungus and collected samples after discovering its fleshlike, plant-based fibers.
  • Kroya drove away the crows gathered around an artificial magic tree, unearthed it, and stored it inside the Clockwork Golem.
  • Kroya gathered blood pasture fungus and left the island with Jack rather than approach the powerful magic source hidden in the mist.
  • A wise dragon watched Kroya depart, said the merfolk would soon awaken, and dissolved into the island as it disappeared, leaving a few objects among the sea spirit dolphins.

Ch. 118Sea Demon Turtles, an invitation

Kroya returned from the vanished island with a group of Sea Demon Turtles and traded a ten-meter coral specimen to Gray Sand for gray golden sand. Gray Sand and Flame Mountain secured Kroya’s invitation to the Lord Mage Alliance, where Sun Bay planned to meet and assess him.

  • Kroya watched the island disappear, then had the Sea Spirit Dolphins bring the newly hatched Sea Demon Turtles back unharmed.
  • At the Undersea Pasture, Kroya received Gray Sand’s request for a large magical coral and sent him a ten-meter specimen.
  • Gray Sand thanked Kroya with a package of gray golden sand and promised to recommend him to the Lord Mage Alliance alongside Flame Mountain.
  • Flame Mountain and Gray Sand discussed Gray Sand’s drought-stricken homeland and his efforts to obtain rain and water-storage magic plants.
  • Sun Bay approved their recommendation and sent Kroya an invitation to join the Lord Mage Alliance and meet him in an illusion realm.

Ch. 119Joining the Alliance and Buying Tomes

Kroya joined the Mage Lord Alliance after meeting the Sun Bay Mage, and spent his savings on magical tomes. He then planted an Artificial Magic Tree in a prepared pit and returned to the castle with mature Sea Spirit Lingzhi and new knowledge to study.

  • Kroya accepted the Sun Bay Mage’s invitation, answered his questions, and joined the alliance by offering Sunlight Sunflower seeds and agreeing to assist other Mage Lords within limits.
  • The Sun Bay Mage sold Kroya a level-three and level-four spell compendium for one thousand magic crystals, then persuaded him to buy several more tomes until he had spent all four thousand.
  • Kroya planted the Artificial Magic Tree in a pit prepared with Blood Pasture Fungus and tested the fungus on a Fish-Tailed Sea Duck, which showed no ill effects.
  • Kroya assigned two Burrowing Mice to tend the Artificial Magic Tree and left the Sea Spirit Dolphin to care for the Sea Demon Turtles.
  • Kroya collected the mature Sea Spirit Lingzhi and returned to the castle with his books.

Ch. 120Development before the blizzard

Kroya studied spell combinations, expanded his territory’s supplies and experimented with luminary powers while preparing for a predicted blizzard. The blizzard finally began as snow covered his roof.

  • Kroya discovered how combining spell models could create specialized enhancements and tested spell combinations on Pure White Sea Spirit Coconuts and gray magic ants.
  • Kroya brewed Sea Spirit Lingzhi Potion and distributed it to the orphans and mage apprentices, then ordered Rob to provide them with more mana-rich food.
  • Elena led the Children of Harvest in growing magic plants, while Kroya stored the harvests and inspected the territory’s growing food reserves.
  • Kroya combined earth and water luminary powers into wood luminary essence, shared it with the Woodstar Curving Vine King and Red Sunflower, and failed to mix void luminary power.
  • Kroya woke to find snow covering the roof and realized the predicted blizzard had arrived.
