Hu Xiaotian followed him farther inside. Wherever Old Monster Beize went, a swarm of moths accompanied him. Rather than finding the sight frightening, Hu Xiaotian found it rather funny. These insects were unlucky to have ended up following Old Monster Beize: not only did they have to take bullets for him, they also had to fill his belly.
Old Monster Beize stopped. Hu Xiaotian looked ahead and saw a skeleton. Judging by its shape, it must have belonged to a lizard. Its bones were as white as jade. Remembering what Old Monster Beize had said about the Bone-Melting Prison, Hu Xiaotian decided it truly lived up to its name. Even a lizard had been reduced to a heap of white bones here.

This little lake was supposedly inside a cavern, so where did the light above it come from?
Old Monster Beize seemed to guess what he was thinking and said quietly, "I watch the sun rise and the moon set here every day. If you want to tell night from day, this is the best place."
"Are you the only one in this Bone-Melting Prison?" Hu Xiaotian asked.
Old Monster Beize shook his head and continued forward. After only a few steps, they came upon a pitch-black skeleton. He sighed. "This person died half a year ago." A few steps farther on, they saw two skeletons
