The Blue Wolf did not charge at Hu Xiaotian. Instead, it suddenly turned around, and the other Blue Wolves did the same. Hu Xiaotian was astonished. Holy shit, am I really so mighty and imposing that I can scare off a pack of vicious wolves? A moment later, he realized what had happened: Murong Feiyan had arrived just in time, her sword flashing as she carved a bloody path through them. Every animal had an instinct for danger. The seven wolves that had climbed onto the enormous rock immediately recognized Murong Feiyan as the deadliest threat and turned to face her instead.
Murong Feiyan raised her sword and brought it down, killing two Blue Wolves in the blink of an eye. The vicious beasts were no longer as fierce and tenacious as before. Seeing their companions slain, they actually grew frightened and scrambled to leap down.
The black eagles circling overhead were the first to scatter. Before long, the wolves gradually retreated as well. The beasts driven here by the beast tamer had not originally belonged to the same pack, and during their retreat, two packs began fighting savagely. For a time, shrieks, snarls, and roars rose one after another. The scene was gruesomely bloody, too terrible to behold.
By the time all the wolves had dispersed, dawn had arrived unnoticed. All three were drenched in blood and utterly exhausted. Hu Xiaotian was the first to sit down on the ground. He really was hard to kill. At the last moment, he had resigned himself to certain death, only to snatch his life back again. He owed Murong Feiyan a favor-a truly enormous favor. With no way to repay her, he could only offer himself to her. The question was, would Murong Feiyan want repayment in the flesh?
