Arc 69Skulls and Shifting Loyalties

Hu Xiaotian and his allies infiltrated Brahma Sound Temple to reach Living Buddha Jialuo and the two skulls, uncovering a buried history tied to Phantom and the Fated Ones. Meanwhile, the Northern Frontier faced shortages and political maneuvering, and Xue Lingjun confronted secrets that threatened her relationship with Li Chenzhou.

  • Hu Xiaotian, Xiong Tianba, and Zhan Peng ambushed Xu Fengwu, Li Chang'an, and Yan Huxiao, while Xu Fengmei admitted to Hu Buwei that she had acted against Hu Xiaotian without his consent.
  • Hu Xiaotian met Yuchi Chong and urged him to join his side, but Yuchi refused because he would not abandon his soldiers or bring dishonor on them.
  • Zhou Ruiyuan exposed Wen Chenghuan as Li Mingzuo, a son of Great Yong’s Duke of Jing who had infiltrated Great Kang, while Xue Daoming prepared to travel to the Northern Frontier.
  • Hu Xiaotian and Ji Feihua enlisted Xima’s help to enter Brahma Sound Temple, where Hu Xiaotian fought the monks as Ji Feihua confronted Living Buddha Jialuo, who was Master Minghui.
  • Yuanmu confronted Minghui, while Ji Feihua entered a hidden refuge and learned that his father was Chu Yuanhai and that Phantom might have caused the spaceship crash and remained alive.
  • Sound of Brahma Mountain collapsed after Ji Feihua left the refuge, and Hu Xiaotian later learned that the skulls might reveal a weapon to restrain Phantom and that Ji Feihua wanted him to marry Qiqi and crush the Xu Family.
  • Xue Daoming arrived at Snow-Winding City, rebuked Yuchi Chong, and appointed Dong Tianjiang deputy commander, while Li Chenzhou’s supporters considered using the visit against the emperor’s allies.
  • Xue Lingjun received a letter demanding she cut ties with Li Chenzhou, then invited him inside after he saw an apparition of Jian Rongxin outside her residence.

Arc 70The Seventh Day’s Approach

After Xue Shengjing seized the throne and Xue Lingjun and Li Chenzhou died, Hu Xiaotian navigated shifting alliances while uncovering the truth about Phantom and the Clones. The arc ended with Hu Xiaotian, Qiqi, Ji Feihua, and Liu Yuzhang entering the underground palace beneath the Seven-Treasure Glazed Pagoda.

  • Huo Shengnan took command of Yuchi Chong’s troops after he killed himself, while Li Chenzhou’s coup in the Yong Capital was exposed and defeated.
  • Xue Shengjing became emperor after Xue Lingjun revealed the crimes of Xue Daoming and Li Chenzhou, then Li Chenzhou and Xue Lingjun died together.
  • Huo Xiaoru negotiated with Hu Xiaotian for the Heavenly Man Myriad Images Diagram and secured his agreement to release Rong Shi and let Yuchi Chong’s soldiers enter the Ankang Grassland.
  • Hu Xiaotian proposed to Qiqi, who accepted on the condition that their eldest child take her surname, while Great Yong’s unrest and Black Hu’s demands escalated.
  • Ghost Physician Fu Wan revealed the Fated Ones’ experiments and warned Hu Xiaotian about Phantom, then died before Hu Xiaotian discovered codes in his bones and a spider-shaped object in his brain.
  • Hu Xiaotian and Li Wuyou uncovered how Phantom had caused the Clones to gain independent thought, and agreed they needed to stop her before she grew more powerful.
  • Hu Xiaotian received the two scrolls and a Skull from Huo Xiaoru’s messenger, while Ji Feihua brought another Skull and warned him about Liu Yuzhang.
  • Qiqi opened the secret passage beneath the Medicine Storehouse, and she, Hu Xiaotian, Ji Feihua, and Liu Yuzhang entered the underground palace and saw the Seven-Treasure Glazed Pagoda across an underground river.
