The Sea God's second trial.
Every drop of water seemed inscribed with the same verdict:
"You must choose."
Qi Wu looked up.
Above the altar, the Sea God Phantom slowly lowered his gaze.
He was not looking at any one person.
An entire civilization was judging a variable.
The next instant.
The world was torn open.
He stood in a pure white space.
There was no sea, no Divine Hall, no deep-sea pressure.
Only two paths.
On the left lay Great Xia, burning.
Cities collapsed, defensive lines shattered, and Demons poured in like a tide.
Above, Di Tian's shadow loomed over everything like a black sun.
More than a billion humans were swallowed amid cries of anguish.
But at the far end of the ruins-
Jiang Qingyue, Gale, and Lilith were all still standing.
Yet their life forces were fading, little by little.
Like lamps being blown out one after another.
In the end, only Qi Wu remained.
Standing alone at the end of the world.
On the right lay another path.
Great Xia survived.
Its cities were intact.
Its defensive lines were rebuilt.
Human civilization endured.
Even the Demons were completely eradicated.
Everything was "right."
But the price was another scene.
Jiang Qingyue lay dead in a snow-white medical pod, still clutching her communicator.
Gale lay fallen atop the city wall, a long saber broken in two.
Lilith was sealed within a blood-red formation diagram, like a star that would never awaken.
And Qi Wu stood upon the highest throne.
The Sea God's voice descended from the emptiness.
"Choose."
"Either the world is destroyed."
"Or."
"The world is saved."
