After Hades ordered the Mandala Society to strengthen the Four Fiends Formation with mass sacrifices, its forces seized the Imperial Capital as Qi Wu escaped south, gravely wounded. With the capital lost and Demons closing in, Qi Wu ordered all survivors to retreat to the Southern Capital.

• Hades told Di Tian and Shang that the Four Fiends Formation needed more sacrifices to let his true body enter the world, and ordered it to consume most of human civilization.
• Shang commanded the Mandala Society to take control of the Imperial Capital and kill anyone who resisted, fled, or spread panic.
• Qi Wu emerged from a spatial rift in the southern outskirts, badly injured, and Jiang Qingyue used the Demon God Curse Mark to stabilize him.
• Gale and Lilith defeated the Demons pursuing the group, but Gale warned that more Demons were approaching and the outskirts would soon become a battlefield.
• After Xiao Tiance told him the Imperial Capital was lost, Qi Wu ordered the survivors and army to abandon it and retreat to the Southern Capital.

Qi Wu began leading the refugees south, but a demonized Skyhawk Empire fleet attacked them. As he fought to protect the civilians, Drake confronted him and challenged him as the Child of Destiny.

• Qi Wu expanded Unlimited Void and fused it with Malevolent Shrine, erasing the White Bone Army as Bone Calamity tried to retreat.

• Qi Wu and Di Tian exchanged devastating blows above the Yangtze River, and Di Tian sent Qi Wu crashing into the water.
• Qi Wu struck back with Hollow Purple, but Di Tian blocked it with an enormous barrier and emerged with only a torn sleeve.
• Di Tian projected his divine kingdom while Qi Wu countered with Unlimited Void and Malevolent Shrine, beginning a prolonged clash of domains and attacks.

Qi Wu fought Di Tian to a standstill above the Yangtze River, buying time for the southbound evacuation before sealing Di Tian in folded space. He then created the Meishan Barrier and sustained it with his life force as survivors reached safety, ending the chapter still guarding the river against the Demon assault.

• Di Tian unleashed the Eternal Night Demon Kingdom, and Qi Wu answered with the Boundless Divine Court, beginning a domain battle that lasted half a day.
• Both domains collapsed, leaving Qi Wu and Di Tian badly wounded just as the evacuation ships safely reached the southern bank.

• Qi Wu endured waves of conceptual flames and learned that the Fire God's authority turned everything in the domain into fire and law.
• The Fire God's attacks overwhelmed Qi Wu and delayed his Reverse Cursed Technique, but Qi Wu spotted gaps in the domain's fixed rules.

• Qi Wu found the Meishan Barrier badly damaged and learned from a wounded veteran that the Demons had launched repeated attacks led by the Twelfth and Nineteenth Elders of the Mandala Society.
• Qi Wu sent Jiang Qingyue and Gale to the governor-general's residence, then left the barrier to face the Demon army himself.
• Qi Wu activated Malevolent Shrine and sliced apart every lizard Demon that came within twenty paces.

Qi Wu unleashed Malevolent Shrine, killed the two Mandala Society elders, and erased the Demon tide at the Meishan Barrier. He returned to the governor’s residence and gave Lilith the remnant core of the Blood-Attribute Divine Treasure.

• The purple-robed elder and gray-robed elder attacked Qi Wu together, but he used Malevolent Shrine to erase the gray-robed elder and then the purple-robed elder.
• Qi Wu expanded Malevolent Shrine and erased the Demon tide’s vanguard, leaving the troops at the Meishan Barrier stunned.
• Qi Wu returned to the governor’s residence, where Jiang Qingyue, Gale, and Lilith greeted him.

Lilith used the Blood Core to stabilize her damaged soul, but the Bloodslayer Queen within her continued to grow stronger. As Di Tian expanded his blood sacrifices to power the Four Fiends Formation, Blood Dragon Grillman arrived and said Lilith could only be saved by truly defeating the Bloodslayer Queen.

• Lilith absorbed the Blood Core, which repaired some of her soul and restored part of her power, but the Bloodslayer Queen remained within her.
• Qi Wu said he could not separate Lilith and the Bloodslayer Queen without shattering Lilith, while Lilith used the Blood Core to stabilize herself.
• Jiang Qingyue reported that Di Tian was expanding blood sacrifices across the occupied region to feed the Four Fiends Formation and grow stronger.
• Qi Wu explained that Di Tian was rushing to break through the divine boundary and said he still needed to fuse with an Exotic Treasure before confronting him and Hades.

Qi Wu agreed to enter Lilith’s Mindscape and defeat the Bloodslayer Queen’s remnant soul, then took Lilith and his companions to the Holy Blood Family’s ancestral temple in Europa. The family welcomed him as the Child of Destiny and placed its hopes in him.

• Qi Wu agreed to confront the Bloodslayer Queen in Lilith’s Mindscape after learning the ritual would take place at the Fenzhuo Temple in Europa.
• Qi Wu tucked Lilith under his arm and tore open space, taking her, Jiang Qingyue, Gale, and Grillman to the Holy Blood Family’s ancestral grounds.

Qi Wu and the Bloodslayer Queen expanded their domains against each other, and she explained how Domain Deepening turns a domain into a self-sustaining world powered by its people and their history. Seeing that her Blood God Kingdom was nearing divinity, Qi Wu began attempting to deepen Malevolent Shrine.

• The Bloodslayer Queen unveiled her Eternal Night Blood God Kingdom, and Qi Wu answered with Malevolent Shrine: Dismantling all creation.
• The two domains collided, as Qi Wu's blades dismantled the Vampire Heroes and the kingdom revived them to fight again.
