Ning Xiang recalled how she had first met Yu Tingchao, the Eastern Sea’s Young Dragon Lord, and how he had saved her after she nearly drowned. She spared him from punishment, but later scolded him for teaching five-year-old Yu Xiaoyu how to find a wife, and Xiaoyu spread the story across the Profound Heaven Sect.
After learning that the life-share gu could not be undone, Ning Xiang feared Mingyuan had sacrificed himself and searched for him. She found him at the Ten Thousand Demons Cave, where he embraced her, but discovered that he was blind.
Mingyuan reunited with Ning Xiang after surviving the Ten Thousand Demons Cave, and the two returned to each other’s side amid teasing, a dance, and a glimpse of their future family. The chapter ended years later with Ning Xiang blaming Mingyuan for their daughter Ming Weiwei’s changing height.
After Ning Xiang disappeared in the Demon-Subduing Sword Formation, Lu Qingchen searched for her and offered his life to the Ghost Emperor in exchange for her return. The Ghost Emperor showed him their shared past and Ning Xiang’s sacrifices, then told him she would return, leaving Lu Qingchen to rebuild the sect and wait for her.
Ning Xiang returned to the Cultivation Realm and reunited with Lu Qingchen, whose attempts to marry her continued to meet Ning Pingzhang’s objections. While recruiting disciples for the Profound Heaven Sect, Ning Xiang attracted many applicants with a fabricated story about Lu Qingchen, then shared a passionate night with him.
After Ning Xiang and Su Lang vanished inside the Demon-Subduing Sword Formation, Qin Ge sought a way to save Ning Xiang and used her blood-soaked Begonia Hairpin to awaken her from a wisp of divine soul. She first appeared innocent and childlike, then regained her usual sharp temper, leaving Qin Ge arguing with her about their old promises.
Ning Xiang and Qin Ge recalled their tragic mortal trial, in which she died defending Cloudstay City and he spent four thousand years searching for her. After learning their trials had coincided, Qin Ge restrained Ning Xiang with spirit vines and began teasing her.
Qin Ge and Ning Xiang reunited after ten thousand years, married, and settled on the Hundred-Flower Continent, where they raised their son and visited their friends at the Profound Heaven Sect. Their story ended with the family and friends together for New Year’s Eve, while the author thanked readers and said goodbye.
Lu Suisui grew from a tearful child into a cool, diligent swordswoman, while Ning Xiang and Lu Qingchen enjoyed their family life. Ning Xiang also reflected on raising her children with Su Lang, and the chapter ended as she asked whether he regretted leaving the twenty-first century together.
Ning Xiang watched the cubs grow from babies into mischievous three-year-olds, as Little Tiger Girl made the spirit beasts call her daddy and Little Tiger Cub hid that he could speak. The twins eventually began arranging weddings for unwilling couples, leaving the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox and Little Nine dressed up for a chaotic ceremony.
Ming Weiwei trained in the Vine Control Art and prepared to face the senior brothers from Constant Guardian Peak in a magical-artifact contest. Unable to borrow Soul-Rending alone, she took several of Zhu Yu’s artifacts, while Zhu Yu fled after misunderstanding her explanation about her parents.
As the Profound Heaven Sect celebrated its ten-thousandth anniversary, Ning Xiang’s children repelled several demon cultivators’ attacks, while the family enjoyed a rare gathering together. The demon cultivators’ return prompted the sects to send young disciples to investigate, and Su Tingyun departed as Ning Xiang watched him go without regret for the life she had chosen.
