Ji Yanzhi let out a breath that sounded almost like a sigh and reached out to pull Ji Ting into his arms.
Ji Ear never tried to gloss over his imperfections. He only ever told him, I'm imperfect too. That's why we fit together so well.
They held each other like that for a while before Ji Ting asked softly, "Ji Yanzhi, do you still want to be Daji?"
A low chuckle escaped Ji Yanzhi's throat. He rose, gave him a meaningful look, then scooped him straight into his arms.
Ji Ting instinctively grabbed his shoulders. Before he could react, Ji Yanzhi had set him on the bed.
He drew his legs up and sat upright, declaring before the other man could lean over him, "Ji Yanzhi, I haven't showered yet."
The corners of Ji Yanzhi's lips curled as he caught his calf and pulled him back. "I'll wash you, my king?"
"I can do it myse... mm..."
A kiss swallowed the rest of Ji Ting's polite refusal. As their lips and tongues tangled, Ji Yanzhi picked him up again.
He wrapped Ji Ting's legs around his waist, then kissed him until he grew increasingly dazed, taking advantage of his muddled state to carry him into the bathroom.
(Lights out. See the bonus chapter in the group.)
For the first time, Ji Ting went to bed without drying his hair, so when he woke the next day, it was sticking up in every shape imaginable.
Ji Yanzhi had gone to work bright and early, looking positively radiant. Before leaving, he had given Ji Ting a good-morning kiss, kissing him awake only to tell him to sleep a little longer.
Ji Ting got out of bed to wash up. Just as he reached the bedroom door, his phone suddenly buzzed.
