The orange juice Ji Ting had ordered soon arrived. The server set the glass in front of him. "Enjoy, sir."
He thanked the server, but when he turned back, he found Ling Xi staring fixedly at his glass.
Seeing this, Ji Ting pushed the orange juice toward him. "If you want some..."
That simple gesture nearly made Ling Xi jump out of his chair. "What are you doing?!"
Ji Ting looked at him in confusion. "You kept staring at it, so I thought you wanted some."
Ling Xi's throat bobbed tensely twice. Realizing he had overreacted, he feigned disgust and said coldly, "Who wants anything of yours!"
"Then forget it. Go ahead."
The cold sweat on the back of Ling Xi's neck had yet to dry. After a pause, he recovered. "No rush. Before that, I have a few things to ask you."
Seeing him put on his air of superiority again, Ji Ting simply stood up. "If what you have to say has nothing to do with your text, stop wasting my time."
As Ji Ting turned toward the door, Ling Xi snapped, "Feeling guilty, are you-"
Ji Ting looked at him calmly. "What do I have to feel guilty about?"
"You've been lying to me since we started dating. You've been pretending all along. You never cared about me at all!"
Ji Ting was silent for a moment. "You say I pretended to deceive you. Didn't you do the same?"
Ling Xi hadn't expected him to turn the accusation back on him. His eyes widened. "What did I pretend?"
"You always made yourself look innocent and harmless, but you're actually selfish, greedy, criminal, shameless..." Ji Ting rattled off five or six insults, then deliberately added one more. "And you're hopelessly stupid. Being stupid yourself is one thing, but
