Mirai, Megumi Mitsumori, and the others were, naturally, sitting in the office watching the races at Tokyo Racecourse.
"Is the young master's schedule packed today? He's already riding in the second race?"
Mirai asked as she ate the snacks in her hand.
Koichi's previous rides at Tokyo Racecourse had mostly been on turf, with relatively few on dirt, but today she had spotted her young master's name in the second race.
"That's a good thing for him, too. He can get used to the conditions at Tokyo Racecourse this year ahead of time. Two important races will be held here next month."
Megumi Mitsumori answered.
Her attention wasn't really on the race, either. She was playing with her phone instead.
Over the past few days, she had been in contact with the Horse Owner of a racehorse under her care.
The horse the Horse Owner had entrusted to her had passed its test, so the next step was naturally to arrange its racing schedule. As its trainer, she had to listen to the Horse Owner's wishes.
But if possible, she hoped the owner would take her advice.

"Yeah, May's races are definitely much more important. Once those are over, Ship can have a long vacation."
Mirai nodded.
If Gold Ship could win the Derby in the coming month, the first half of the horse's three-year-old campaign would be perfect.
