After the three parties reached an agreement, some of Aoe Ranch's racehorses came to Hokkai Ranch for a short stay.
Of course, these were mainly the horses managed by Aoe Ranch's other trainer.
Although Hokkai Ranch had fallen on hard times long ago, it still had more than enough stable space.
"This is Tetsuya Futawatari, a trainer at our Aoe Ranch, and this is Trainer Megumi Mitsumori."
Ayumu Kusakawa introduced the two of them.

She still had a long way to go before she could become a trainer at a major ranch like him.

The stable situation had caused him no end of trouble, so he was genuinely happy to have somewhere to train temporarily.
Hokkai Ranch's facilities were quite comprehensive, and some of the horses under his care did need to move here.
"Is that youngster Gold Ship?"
As a horse trainer, his gaze naturally followed the racehorses.
"Yes, he's another of Stay Gold's offspring. Like Golden Masterpiece, his damsire is McQueen."

They had arrived at just the right time, while Gold Ship was out grazing.

Golden Masterpiece and the jockey Sasaki were currently shining on the racetrack.
It was truly rare to see such a big two-year-old.
Especially with that gray coat, he was hard to miss.
"Gold Ship will be entering a Newcomer Race this July, too."
Megumi Mitsumori spoke as she watched Ship running across the grass.
