"This door was never meant for Dialga and Palkia." Cyrus's voice echoed through the main control room. Every screen went dark at once, leaving only a blinding expanse of white light.
May held her breath as she stared at the positioning data racing across the terminal.
"The node on the other side of the rift isn't within any known spatial coordinates. Some unknown force has cut it off."
Lin Hao raised his head and called to Arceus in his mind.
The creator god's voice grew unusually grave. "Master, that is no ordinary space-time rift. It connects to the space-time interlayer, and traces of divine energy from another world linger within it."
Cyrus burst into laughter, madness ringing in his voice. "Did you hear that? Even the creator god is wary. I searched for ten years and finally found the answer in Sinnoh's ancient texts."
"Dialga governs time, and Palkia governs space. But before time and space were born, there was a primordial chaos. Something forgotten by the world lies hidden there."
May clenched her teeth, pressing her fingers hard against the terminal. "Reshaping the world was just an excuse. What you really want is to release the monster behind that door."
"A monster?" Cyrus shook his head, gazing feverishly at the pure white light. "No. It is a merciless god capable of reshaping order."
Lin Hao found it absurd. "So you used the gods of time and space as keys, made Mt. Coronet your altar, and even gambled everyone's lives, all in exchange for something you know nothing about?"
Cyrus looked down at him, his eyes full of pity. "Only the ignorant fear the unknown. I will master it."
"You can't even control Tyranitar." Lin Hao punctured his fantasy without mercy.
Cyrus's expression shifted slightly, then gave way to utter
