The tailor's shop called the Knight's Armor stood in Fog City's Upper City. From the outside, it looked utterly unremarkable, with nothing special about it at all. It was just an ordinary shop.
Or rather, it really was an ordinary shop.
Driving his Phantom for the first time in a while, Li Wei reached the shop in no time with Katie directing him. The two got out, and Katie bounded up to the tailor's door like an excited little deer, then pushed it open.
"Ding-a-ling."
Accompanied by the clear chime of the bell, they entered the shop. It wasn't particularly large, with several suits and evening gowns hanging around the walls. Li Wei glanced around curiously before turning his attention to the gray-haired old man standing behind the counter ahead.
"Welcome."
Hearing the bell, the old man looked up and nodded at them.
"Ah, Miss Katie. It's been a while."
"You're looking as well as ever, Mr. Roland."
Katie smiled, lifted her skirt, and curtsied to the old man before turning to Li Wei beside her.
"I came today to ask you to make Mr. Li Wei a suit for a banquet."
"Ah, the New Year's banquet. It is about that time, isn't it?"
The old man chuckled, then looked at Li Wei.
"A fine, spirited young man."
"Hello, sir. My name is Li Wei. I'm a detective."
Li Wei stepped forward, tipped his hat to the old man, and offered his hand.
"My name is Roland. As you can see, I'm a tailor."
With a smile, old Roland shook Li Wei's hand. At the same time, he examined the clothes Li Wei was wearing with curiosity.
