Li Wei loved going to the cinema to watch monster movies.
After all, watching enormous monsters duke it out on a giant screen, with surround sound booming around him, was one hell of a thrill.
But this was even better, because he was right there in person!
"ROOOOAR!"
The monster roared and charged forward. The Disaster Herald rose again, opened its mouth, and let out a hissing cry. At the same time, it swung its blades in intersecting arcs, hacking down at the monster!
"THUD! THUD!"
The gleaming blades struck the monster's armored shell, only to bounce straight off as though they had hit thick tires. The monster barreled forward, seized the swinging arms with both claws, then opened its enormous maw and sank its teeth into the Disaster Herald's neck!
"HISSSS!"
The Disaster Herald screamed as the monster bit into its neck. Its giant, snakelike body swiftly coiled around the monster, binding it tight. Meanwhile, its other two pairs of arms gripped their scimitars and raised them high. A biting chill erupted from the weapons, making their formerly dull blades shine brilliantly.
Then the Disaster Herald reversed its scimitars and drove them hard into the monster's body!
"BOOOOM!"
The icy wind that rushed toward them seemed capable of freezing even their souls. The monster staggered backward, a layer of white frost coating its black body. It shook itself vigorously, throwing off the ice frozen to its hide. On the other side, the Disaster Herald had used the opening to escape, but it was injured as well. The monster had torn a huge wound in its neck, and blood covered its body.
"Damn, now this is interesting."
