After settling the details of his future Airship with the designer, Li Wei returned home again. He had to admit that he still wasn't quite used to the place, mainly because of the servants he had hired. There weren't that many of them, but he still found it a little difficult to adjust. After all, he was used to living alone with Erin. Having so many people in the house all of a sudden left him feeling rather uncomfortable.
Why did so many nobles like hiring a whole crowd of servants to wait on them? Didn't it make them uncomfortable?
Fortunately, his room remained just as it had always been. Only Erin came in to disturb him, though his butler, Kane, occasionally came to deliver reports as well.
Erin now spent most of her time making Dolls according to Li Wei's requirements, but at breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, she remained firmly committed to her duties as a maid. Li Wei was already used to having Erin wait on him, so he had no intention of changing that arrangement.
In his spare time, Li Wei listened to the radio in his room. Much of the news wasn't good, particularly the international news. Tensions between the various countries and alliances were rising by the day. He even heard something that had a little to do with him: Grand Duke Fernando of the Sasha Alliance had recently been putting pressure on the Duchy of Seth. Clearly, this had something to do with the attempted kidnapping of the Princess at the exposition.
What left Li Wei speechless, however, was that the Duchy of Seth had actually sent people to the Empire to request mediation. He didn't know what the Queen thought about it, but he certainly had no words.
Anyone with half
