After killing the man in black robes, Li Wei finally obtained the last Holy Relic-the Golden Orb embedded in the wall.
Unlike the dull gray, utterly inconspicuous Holy Relic Stone Disc, the Golden Orb was entirely different. Its surface was engraved with intricate, sacred script. Although Li Wei could not read it, he could tell that it closely resembled the writing carved into the Monastery's gates. They most likely shared the same origin.
As for what was actually written on the orb, though, probably only Annie and her Archaeological Team could tell him.
Besides that, the orb was heavy and seemed to be made of gold, with a huge, dazzling diamond set right in its center.
Even without any magical properties, the thing itself was probably worth a fortune.
Now that he had all three Holy Relics, the only thing left to do was undo the seal.
Before that, however, Li Wei had something else to do.
"Mr. Li Wei, are you really going to look at that book?"
Walking beside Li Wei, Katie asked uneasily. She had followed him throughout the investigation, so she naturally knew how all this had come about. Although the book seemed to have nothing to do with the Outer Fiend, just thinking about the changes it had brought upon Deans filled her with unease.
"We don't have a choice. Would you rather we died here?"
"Of course not... but isn't that book dangerous?"
"It's definitely dangerous, but we can't just refuse to do anything because it's dangerous."
Li Wei sighed as he climbed the spiral staircase. They had already passed through the Church and reached the Cront Family's Old Castle. He had to admit that the castle itself looked quite luxurious, though there seemed to be no signs of construction anywhere.
