Doll Cat poked its head out and peered into the deep, pitch-black darkness.
Li Wei stared into it, his eyes wide.
Then he saw...
Li Wei controlled Doll Cat, quietly drawing its head back and rubbing its eyes.
Did I get up too fast? Am I seeing things?
Then Doll Cat poked its head out again and looked down.
Deep within the dark abyss lay a sea of treasure gleaming with golden light.
Li Wei had seen similar scenes in movies before. Gold coins flooded the cavern before him like a lake, with only the enormous stone pillars supporting the entire city jutting out of them, stretching high into the darkness to meet the cavern ceiling. Atop this mountain of coins lay an enormous, terrifying monster.
Its massive body was covered in scales. In fact, faint red light flickered in the gaps between them, and only that glow allowed Li Wei to barely make out the true appearance of the behemoth before him.
It had an enormous, scaled body, a long neck, a long tail, and a pair of wings folded against its back. All sorts of twisted vines and plants surrounded the dragon. A fiery glow shone through the gaps in its scales, brightening and dimming with each breath.
Holy shit, this really is a hero-versus-dragon adventure!
Li Wei sucked in a cold breath, silently withdrew his gaze, and looked at Katie beside him.
You really had to go and speak it into existence!
"What's wrong, Mr. Li Wei? What's down there?"
Katie had noticed something was off about his expression and asked in a low voice. Li Wei lowered his voice to answer.
"A dragon."
"...Huh?"
Katie nearly cried out at his answer, but hurriedly covered her mouth and stared at him with wide eyes. Li Wei nodded
