Katie leaned over, peering curiously into the empty coffin with a puzzled expression.

"Did he really climb out of the coffin?"

"I don't think so."

Anthony shook his head, struck another flashy pose, and took a drag on his cigarette.

"The coffin was buried underground, with a thick layer of earth over it. I don't think anyone could possibly climb out."

"What good does what you think do?"

Henry glared viciously at Anthony.

"How about I stuff you inside and bury you, then see whether you can climb out?"

"I definitely couldn't."

Anthony backed down immediately, without the slightest hesitation.

"If you ask me, I think he must have run off before the burial."

"Huh? But what about the funeral? Surely everyone wouldn't have watched an empty coffin being buried?"

"Inspector Lestrade said plenty of people watched him being buried. That part checks out."

Li Wei glanced around as he answered Katie's question.

"So he just vanished from the coffin into thin air? Like a magic trick?"

"I think that's pretty close to what happened."

"According to your theory, could this fellow coming back from the dead have something to do with the rumors about him? Alexander the Immortal?"

"As if anyone gets that lucky. People think you can't die, so you can't die?"

Henry scoffed at the idea.

"Besides, so many people watched him being buried. How could they still believe he wouldn't die?"

"Because humans crave excitement."
