"A game?"
When everyone gathered at Li Wei's phone call, they were utterly bewildered.
After they heard him explain the game, they were even more bewildered.
"Do many people play it?"
"Possibly every child in Fog City."
"Well..."
Everyone was dumbfounded. They had spent so long searching and investigating all those rumors and leads, only for Li Wei to tell them that the culprit this time was actually a game children played in the streets?
No wonder their investigation had gone nowhere. Who could have imagined that a children's street game had anything to do with this?
Even the children themselves probably had no idea.
"This game is quite interesting."
Anthony tried it out, and his eyes immediately lit up.
"I remember Her Majesty is supposed to sail through the middle of the Imperial Bridge on the day of the ceremony, right?"
"That's to show the public the essence of the Imperial Bridge's design."
Henry spoke up.
Raising the bridge deck sounded simple, but seeing it in person was genuinely awe-inspiring, and it would inspire national pride in the public. Since this was the opening ceremony, naturally they wanted everyone to witness what made the bridge special.
"In other words, whoever designed this game probably knew about that."
Li Wei frowned.
"And the terminology is quite technical."
Anthony waved the slip of paper on which Li Wei had written the lyrics.
"Ordinary children wouldn't think of things like bricks and mortar, would they?"
"And those are all materials used to build the Imperial Bridge. Not a single one is missing."
Henry checked the lyrics carefully again, and his expression turned grave.
Although the Imperial Bridge was a classified project, its building materials couldn't be kept secret. With shipments constantly coming and going, anyone interested could find out simply by investigating.
