Most people imagined underground tunnels as pitch-black places, but the Underworld here was clearly different. Perhaps because mysterious energy was more abundant here than on the surface, most of the plants gave off a faint glow. From the moss emitting pale blue light on the stone walls to the mushrooms glowing hazily yellow in the corners, they looked positively dreamlike in the underground tunnels.

Because of that, tunnels that should have been so dark they couldn't see their own hands weren't actually all that dark. At least they could make out the outlines of their surroundings.

"I never imagined it could be so beautiful underground."

Katie clasped her hands behind her back and looked around curiously.

"I think the Empire could turn this place into a tourist attraction someday and let everyone come see it. It's really beautiful down here!"

"Yes, tourism is certainly an option."

Li Wei thought Katie's idea was a good one. Better still, their predecessors had already laid tracks here. Even if the Empire took over this region in the future, they would only need to repair them before running sightseeing trains for trips lasting a few days, letting Imperial citizens enjoy the underground scenery. It would make for a pleasant outing.
