Chapter Summaries

Sasuke recovered in the Akatsuki Hideout after Naruto saved him from Danzo, while Obito gave him time to choose his path and banished Black Zetsu. Kabuto Yakushi then used Mu to summon Madara Uchiha through Impure World Reincarnation, leaving Madara confused that he had not been revived with Rinne Rebirth.

• Sasuke woke with his left arm badly injured and learned that Naruto had killed Danzo and brought him to the hideout.
• Obito asked Sasuke whether he would protect Konoha or join Akatsuki, and Sasuke asked to be left alone to think.
• Obito confronted Black Zetsu for interfering with Sasuke and used his Susanoo's Ten Directions Kamui Sword to banish him.
• Kabuto Yakushi decided to summon Madara Uchiha to influence Sasuke and used Mu as the medium for Impure World Reincarnation.

Konoha confirmed Danzo’s death, stripped him of the Sixth Hokage title, and appointed Tsunade Hokage again. As Kakashi struggled with the truth about Obito, Madara reached the Valley of the End and learned Naruto had taken his Rinnegan.

• Shizune confirmed that the body was Danzo’s, and Ibiki reported that Danzo had left the village to meet Kabuto while a substitute remained in Konoha.
• Shikaku announced that the Daimyo had stripped Danzo of the Sixth Hokage title and chosen Tsunade to serve as Hokage again.

Naruto and Konan traveled to Kirigakure to negotiate for its secret technique scroll, but Obito used genjutsu to control Mei Terumi and ambush Naruto. Naruto rescued Mei and returned to Amegakure, where he explained that he needed time to prepare for another confrontation with Obito; Mei then regained consciousness.
