Seeing the Burning One shard enter the tesseract labyrinth Lox carried with him, Leman Russ finally let his tightly coiled muscles relax slightly.

As a primarch who had liberated his essence, he could clearly sense the extreme danger posed by the C'tan shard.

Though his own life was likely not at risk, the same could not be said for the Space Wolves he had brought with him.

Before a rampaging C'tan shard, elite troops like the Astartes were not much different from ordinary mortals.

"Is it dealt with?" he rumbled.

"Temporarily contained." Lox nodded and spoke in a voice only Russ could hear, his gaze returning to the ruins. "But our questions have yet to be answered."

He picked up the miniature labyrinth containing the Burning One shard and questioned the C'tan fragment within directly through his thoughts.

"Nyadraza, what happened here? What destroyed the tomb world that imprisoned you? Where did all those Necrons go?"

An exceedingly faint voice emerged from the miniature labyrinth, full of unwillingness yet forced to answer.
