Lox had originally expected that once every fragment of the Void Dragon had been restored to its proper place, his power would undergo another enormous leap.
But only when that moment truly arrived did he realize that his original assumption had been wrong.
The greatest difference between the complete Void Dragon and the incomplete Void Dragon lay in absolute control over laws.
Now, he could truly be called an incarnation of law itself. The authorities governed by the Void Dragon—machinery, order, technology—were all before him, moving according to his will.
Laws were the foundation of the universe. Even the smallest and most inconspicuous law possessed unimaginable power.
Lox felt that with nothing more than a flick of his finger, he could make the sun that had nurtured human civilization burn through all its mass in an instant and collapse into a white dwarf.
Or he could reverse the sun's life cycle, causing it to regress back into the primordial nebular matter from which it had formed.
This was not a matter of forcibly twisting reality through immaterial powers such as psychic energy. It meant that the laws governing stellar evolution had been rewritten and reshaped.
The constant for the speed of light within the solar system was likewise subject to Lox's will. If he chose to continuously lower it, the entire solar system would become a dark domain, and no conventional means would ever allow anyone to escape its boundaries.
He could even alter the laws so that the stars orbited Terra, making humanity's homeworld the core of the entire celestial system.
Of course, those were merely insignificant side effects. Any enemy incapable of contending with Lox on the level of laws would face the unsolvable fate of having their laws twisted and overwritten.
Their warships would warp and collapse
