The moment Be'lakor heard Leman Russ utter that word, his mocking, amused attitude instantly changed.

"Lion El'Jonson could not abandon the human armies. Rogal Dorn and Perturabo needed to hold Cadia. Guilliman was stationed on Terra. Who could possibly come to support you?"

"Vulkan? That freak of a primarch who got mixed up with the Greenskin Orks?"

Though Be'lakor had always remained hidden in the shadows, he was exceptionally familiar with humanity's internal affairs.

He knew very well how powerful humanity was. Before receiving the blessings of the Four Gods, he would have stood no chance against any primarch and might even have been utterly slain by those demigods walking the galaxy.

Yet after gaining those blessings, Be'lakor's confidence had swelled considerably. At the very least, in a one-on-one fight, Leman Russ did not have much chance of defeating him.

But Be'lakor did not know what the outcome would be if he faced the combined assault of several primarchs.

Using the previous example of Horus, jointly chosen by the Four Gods, as a reference, even several primarchs together would have been no match for Horus. Sanguinius had been one such example.

Primarchs who had not awakened their essences might have vastly surpassed elite forces such as Space Marines or Custodes in combat power, but compared with ultra-heavy units like Titan war machines, they were actually nothing remarkable.

A primarch's true strength and irreplaceability mainly lay in the cohesion they gave their legions, their command abilities, and their strategic vision.

But if a primarch awakened his Warp essence, it would not be an exaggeration to call him a god walking among mortals. Every primarch possessed different abilities and excelled in different fields.
