Once they had settled the arrangements for joining him, Li Chen immediately summoned the stewards of the Three Great Merchants' Associations. He asked them to help purchase materials in the Market District and assign workers to build a residence for Hua Yongshan and his family, then took him to a picturesque Side Peak southwest of Broad Cloud Peak.
Broad Cloud Peak had eighteen Side Peaks of varying sizes. Li Chen had put the ten outer peaks to military use, guarding Spirit Peak and the Market District. They were now covered with Strategic Missiles and concealed airfields for Thunderhawk Fighters to take off and land. The inner Side Peaks, however, remained undeveloped, so one could now be allocated to house Hua Yongshan and his dependents.
Li Chen had not granted him territorial sovereignty or development and prospecting rights, as he did not want the retainers under him to have a chance to lay their hands on the roots of the spiritual energy veins. When it came to ordinary land, however, he was generous: an entire hillside belonged to Hua Yongshan.
Li Chen, Hua Yongshan, the association stewards, and the construction foremen stood on the ridge surveying the terrain and discussing their plans at length. Preparations to begin construction were already in place.
When June came and Hua Yongshan returned to Sea Eye City to bring his family over, this place would become his home.
The next day, Li Chen summoned two former disciples of the Heavenly Dragon Gate, along with Yu Feng, Jiang Xuan, Zhou Sisi, and the other disciples of the Golden Sun Gate.
The two disciples of the Heavenly Dragon Gate, a man and a woman named Zhou Cheng and Yun Ya respectively, were somewhat apprehensive, unsure why Li Chen had called for them.
