"Lu Ming, I never expected you to appear at a time like this."
Meng Fuyun did not answer his question directly. Instead, he raised his head and stared at him, wariness in his eyes.
"As an Outer Dao Sword Cultivator, you originally went undercover in the markets to seek your missing fellow disciple, Dong Nü of the Heavenly Sword Sect. All these years, you had already traced the clues here, yet you were in no hurry to seize her. Instead, you even spoke with me."

Meng Fuyun had once suspected that this man had not been entirely truthful, that his earlier account was merely a pretext, and that he had actually come bearing another mission.
At this, Lu Ming smiled faintly and sat down opposite Meng Fuyun. He leaned forward, meeting his eyes from a foot away.
"Think whatever you like. That's your business. But to put it bluntly, a little place like Chess Mountain isn't worth my attention, nor is it worth the attention of the titans behind me!"
Meng Fuyun's brows lifted slightly.
Lu Ming said, "You still haven't answered my question."
