When something went against the natural order, there had to be a monster behind it. After some thought, Li Chen ventured through the rain and cautiously approached the cave.
Only after entering did he discover a hot, dry breath of air rushing into his face. Like a current of desert heat, it quickly dried his soaked clothes.
Li Chen sniffed and detected a heavy odor mingled with underground flame baleful intent and sulfur. Apart from the few Demons that had cultivated the corresponding innate traits and high-energy organs, most would probably dislike this smell.

The cave's entrance passage was only about ten feet long. Soon, a natural stone chamber several dozen feet across came into view. The cultivators' skulls and Demonic Beast skeletons the Flying Disc had spotted earlier were all there.
Li Chen touched the rock wall by the entrance and found heat- and drought-resistant demon domain moss climbing over it. It had many fingernail-sized, deep-purple leaves that glowed in the darkness, providing most of the cave's light. Together with a Qi Refining cultivator's exceptional eyesight, this made it easy enough to see the surroundings.
Li Chen turned toward the Demon skeleton nearby, a
