As far as the eye could see, the pitch-black starry sky seemed filled by that terrifying, enormous eye.
With nothing ahead to serve as a reference, Li Chen could not immediately judge just how large it was, but instinctively, he felt it already spanned more than ten thousand li-perhaps hundreds of thousands, even millions.
In that instant of mental disorientation, he imagined such a scene.

Abruptly, Li Chen felt himself cross a barrier formed of flowing water. The enormous eye vanished from his perception, replaced by an unfamiliar starry sky.
Dense clouds and mist seemed to swirl ahead, obscuring the heavens. The perception of his divine sense, on which he had long relied, disappeared.
Yet Li Chen felt no discomfort whatsoever, for he distinctly remembered that this was the state he had been born in.
His state as a mortal!
Or even... the state of his soul!
My divine sense and magic power have disappeared?
Li Chen felt himself drifting through an endless void, with no sky
