Sky City, Nevis.

The editorial office of Magic.

The office was brightly lit. Quills could occasionally be seen floating above the desks, automatically writing all manner of documents.

Assistants collected the manuscripts, copying and distributing them according to the established workflow.

These submissions came from all sorts of sources, and their quality varied enormously, so editors with specialized knowledge were largely responsible for screening them.

Most Arcanists who became editors for journals like this were experts or professors. Novis, who had previously reviewed Roland's paper, was one of them.

"Another worthless piece of garbage. What is happening to the Arcana community?"

Having finally freed himself from yet another paper, Novis sighed inwardly and wrote down his review.

But before he could take a break, he heard another notification from the Tower Spirit.

"Mr. Novis, you have a new manuscript awaiting review.

Runes School, linguistics, incantation studies branch, new spell...

Please complete the preliminary review within twenty-four hours and submit your preliminary assessment."

Novis retrieved the paper from the Teleportation Array. Its thinness came as something of a relief.

After seeing its title, he even gave a genuinely pleased smile.

"A new practical spell, 'Six Jia Secret Blessing,' and its accompanying Mudra Casting Technique"

The Arcana community had no shortage of filler papers, but few dared openly call their spells new and practical.

The word "practical" meant that the results could be reproduced through spellcasting.

The evaluation criteria were relatively objective.

Feeling somewhat relaxed, he picked up the coffee beside his desk, took a sip, and leafed through the paper.

That quick look nearly made him spit out the coffee already in his mouth.

*Was this a joke? A level 0 spell could grant +1 each to intelligence, wisdom, and charisma, and was so simple that it required only nine syllables
