Shu Changsheng defeated the Demonic Path’s East Sea army and became Plague Division Heavenly Lord, while Li Ling expanded the Incense Accumulation Sect’s influence through the Rosy Mists Gate and Soul-Soothing Incense. As the White Ning Kingdom’s war began, Li Ling recruited local cultivators and Shu Changsheng’s campaign met the Money Guild’s hidden power.

  • Li Si joined the Corpse Immortal Sect’s counteroffensive, while Zhang San enlisted with the Garrison Commissioner’s Office and later devised Insect-Repelling Incense to disable Human-Head Centipedes.

Li Ling broke the Money Guild’s alliance with the Netherworld Sect, killed Qian Fu, and defeated Qian Kun by turning the Greenfly Coin’s greed against him. After taking on the role of Treasure Envoy and preparing to refine the coin, Li Ling left for the South Sea to investigate the Fell Star, whose foul aura might attract cultivators tied to the Five Turbidities.

  • Li Ling killed the White Ning King, rejected Qian Fu’s proposal to limit the conflict, and learned that Pei Qingguang’s faction would support him at a critical moment.
  • The Money Guild attacked Li Ling’s allies, so Li Ling retaliated by driving its businesses from Incense Market territory and using the Ghost Tiger to defeat Wan Yong.
