Power Progression

These milestones track the development of Qin Xiaoxia’s Mystic Realm and Dawn’s subsequent system, rather than formal cultivation ranks.

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Initial inscription 59 Qin Xiaoxia and Doudou prepare “Fall of the Red Banshee” using improvised shaping substance and chalk. Its fifty-square-meter inscription is intended to cover only the old house and yard and last one month without repairs.
First completed personal realm 61 Qin Xiaoxia completes the weaving after more than twenty minutes; its boundary closes around the Association’s courtyard.
Strengthening through Kormir’s Statue 80 82 The statue-shaping ritual greatly strengthens and expands the realm. It subsequently reaches farmland a kilometer from the house.
Temporary remote manifestation 97 98 A newly inscribed formula briefly manifests the realm elsewhere to suppress the Tree Shepherd, then transports Qin Xiaoxia, Doudou, their vehicle, and the captive back.
Core loss and deterioration 127 The Shadow of the Red Banshee shatters. The realm survives because of its earlier strengthening, but its power declines sharply and its expansion, illusions, and remote support are threatened.
Joint reconstruction and upgrade 132 133 The resurrected Red Banshee and Qin Xiaoxia reweave the realm through Order Magic and transformation symbols. Its boundary reaches the Crooked Loach River, and it progresses from simulating illusory reality to containing reality within illusion.
First linked branch 154 Qin Xiaoxia and the Red Banshee connect the Los Angeles realm to Qing Town through paired mirror surfaces, establishing the first branch ring.
Island-scale network construction 264 Dawn Silent Moon Island receives a main array and perimeter formations drawing on the combined power of other Association realms. Further individual realms and overlapping rings remain planned.
Dawn’s independent system 294 Qin Xiaoxia and the Red Banshee’s joint research develops into a distinct Dawn Mystic Realm system, expanding far beyond the single formula initially known through Doudou.
Mobile combat realms and specialized Shadows 681 682 683 Dawn deploys mobile realms woven without physical foundations. Contracting their boundaries strengthens their Shadows; Dawn’s psychic-system research produces unique guardian types.
System-wide law integration 685 Qin Xiaoxia rewrites Dawn’s entire Mystic Realm system, binding its Shadows more deeply to Dawn’s Law Prototype and the Seventh Law to prevent emerging selves from turning evil.

Origins and History

Qin Xiaoxia describes Weaving Mystic Realm as an advanced use of magic power originating from ancient Demons. Other accounts credit fairies with originating Mystic Realm techniques and an Ancient Fairy with accidentally creating the Mystic Realm Formula. Margeson’s fairies became particularly renowned for their achievements and spread their methods widely 59 71 132 455.

Their greatest example is the Fairy Ring, built over generations from countless linked realms. Attached to Margeson’s forest yet independent of its ordinary space, it forms the Fairy Kingdom. Its internal space extends to dozens or even hundreds of times the size of the forest sea 59 116.

Qin Xiaoxia initially knows only “Fall of the Red Banshee,” the sole complete formula Doudou can provide. His first success depends on exceptional magic-power quality, precise control, and considerable luck. Following the Red Banshee’s resurrection, their research becomes the foundation of Dawn’s own system, eventually producing mobile realms and Shadows unavailable in other worlds 294 683.

Construction and Structure

Weaving Requirements

  • Magic-power quality and control: Weaving requires extraordinary control, not merely a large reserve of power 264.
  • Spatial imagination and Magic Script: A weaver must understand Magic Script and visualize complex spatial structures 264.
  • Complexity and coverage: More elaborate inscriptions and larger activated areas place greater demands on their creators 59.
  • Training and cooperation: Ordinary Margeson Fairies require lengthy study before they can create a realm together. Even Mumu can initially only assist with simple formulas after an array has been inscribed 264.
  • Rare expertise: Only a small proportion of fairies are Mystic Realm Weavers, and fewer are proficient. Mystic Realm Masters remain uncommon even within Dawn 455 668.

Formulas and Foundations

  • Inscription Spell Formations are one method of weaving. Qin Xiaoxia’s first formation uses chalk patterns and magic-infused imitation shaping substance 59.
  • Physical arrays provide the conventional foundation. Realms woven without them are more vulnerable to backlash transmitted through their boundaries 682.
  • Advanced weaving can bypass initial materials: The Red Banshee reconstructs Qing Town’s realm without shaping substance or spoken Magic Language, generating inscriptions and magical threads directly 132.
  • Magic Crystals can support major operations: Dawn fills the sanctuary’s formula arrays with crystals before sustaining the Demon Mirror breach 191 192.
  • Maintenance varies: The first improvised realm would last only a month without repairs; this is a limitation of that construction, not a stated lifespan for all realms 59.

Interior Space and Layers

  • Expertly developed realms can have tiny external footprints but vast interiors resembling miniature worlds. Such residential realms generally require generations of collective work 59.
  • A realm can occupy the same location as a building while existing on a different “side” of the world 73.
  • Realms can contain separate layers with different access requirements, as demonstrated by the Archive Management Office’s restricted storage layer 627.
  • A Mystic Realm is broader than a simple barrier; Qin Xiaoxia uses “Mystic Realm Barrier” only to make the concept easier for newcomers to understand 62.

Functions and Applications

Concealment and Access Control

  • Qing Town’s true Mystic Sanctuary is inaccessible to ordinary people without admission. Its early configuration excludes outside tangible and intangible substances except for permitted environmental interaction and electrical-energy absorption and conversion 73.
  • Entrances can be concealed in ordinary surroundings. At Los Angeles, Jenny enters by following a specific route around a lakeside rock 160.
  • A Shadow can bring visitors directly inside, though doing so consumes magic power 160.
  • Access can depend on credentials: students entering New Cloud Ravine must display passes until they receive student tokens 624.

Environmental Control

  • Qin Xiaoxia isolates sleeping occupants’ rooms to prevent the statue-shaping ritual from disturbing them 80.
  • Early Qing Town farmland reflects the outside world: plants destroyed inside restore themselves after hours or days, while uprooting the real plants immediately changes their counterparts 82.
  • The upgraded realm supports magical cultivation, helping Mumu grow difficult plants such as Echo Flowers 147.
  • Under the Red Banshee’s prolonged influence, Headquarters develops rivers circulating through the air beneath a star-filled sky 290.
  • Library reading tables can receive independent formations, allowing discussion without disturbing neighboring readers 398.

Defense and Combat

  • “Fall of the Red Banshee” establishes an ordered environment close to “truth.” Its connection to the order of the Six Great Ones repels beings averse to that power 59.
  • A realm can suppress hostile resistance, although suppression does not guarantee that its weaver can easily defeat a powerful opponent 97.
  • During the Demon Mirror rescue, the realm’s chains stabilize the breach and retrieve Brown and Luna through it 192 193.
  • Dawn’s mobile realms expand across battlefields and deploy Shadows as combatants. Contracting those realms concentrates the Shadows’ power 681 682.

Crafting and Training

  • The first Qing Town realm is specifically designed to provide the ordered conditions needed to sculpt Kormir’s Statue 59.
  • Forging tools can draw on realm power through formations and Magic Crystals. Nan Feng’s hammer performs precise shaping while the realm constrains metal, moves workpieces, and controls steam 306.
  • Dawn Silent Moon Island maintains a subsidiary realm dedicated to forging military equipment 318.
  • Martial artists can practice destructive techniques and urban combat inside encompassed buildings, whose damaged floors repair themselves 324.

Transportation

  • A temporarily summoned realm transports an entire car, its passengers, and the captured Tree Shepherd back from a remote location 98.
  • The Mystic Realm Ring connects Association branches through teleportation formations 154 497.
  • Emergency transit can be costly: the France Branch spends nearly half its precious magic power reaching Headquarters 191.
  • Dawn uses realms as staging grounds to move armies toward the Savage Beastmen’s Western Grasslands Royal Court 671.
  • A Mystic Realm can shelter an interworld passage array. An Akeniksen cave realm contains a formation holding a small Space-Time Rift open 458.

Shadows and Guardians

Shadows of the Mystic Realm

  • A Shadow of the Mystic Realm Core is also called a Mystic Realm Spirit or Mystic Realm Guardian. The Tree Shepherd recognizes the nearly solid Red Banshee Shadow as evidence of an advanced realm 96.
  • A Shadow can be structurally crucial: losing the Red Banshee Shadow destabilizes Qing Town’s realm and threatens many of its functions 127.
  • Dawn later develops unique types, including the Reaper Shadow, Heroic Spirit Shadow, and Colossal Divine Soldier Shadow, through psychic-system research and improved formations 683.
  • These Shadows respond to changes in the minds of their weavers and the beings within their range 682.
  • Death Shadow demonstrates protective capability by slicing apart an incoming World Fragment, though the resulting impact still shakes the Archive realm and scatters stored records 627.

Administration and Emerging Selves

  • Dawn also assigns resident and rotating guardians to maintain its developed realms 509.
  • As Dawn Sage, Qin Xiaoxia holds the highest authority throughout the Association’s realms because they were woven according to Dawn’s rules 685.
  • After unusual changes appear in combat Shadows, Qin Xiaoxia strengthens their connection to Dawn’s laws. Death Shadow subsequently reports that its duties and body feel different and displays a faint Dawn mark, but Qin Xiaoxia confirms that it has not yet developed a self 682 685.

Mystic Realm Networks

Mystic Realm Chain and Ring

  • Mystic Realm Chain is a theory Qin Xiaoxia learns from Doudou, derived from Margeson’s fairies. Special formulas link individual realms into a larger system 116.
  • The Fairy Ring demonstrates the theory on a vast scale, extending around the forest sea both horizontally and in three dimensions 116.
  • Qin Xiaoxia initially pursues simple linking rather than attempting to reproduce the fairies’ entire spatial construction 116.
  • The Los Angeles–Qing Town connection is formed when paired mirrors send threads of magic power through space and intertwine in the void 154.

Dawn’s Network

  • Branch links provide travel between sanctuaries and reduce dependence on conventional transportation 116.
  • Dawn Silent Moon Island’s perimeter arrays initially borrow the combined power of other Association realms 264.
  • Monkey inscribes formations in frequently used forests to maintain connections with the Mystic Realm and practice his magic-power control 421.
  • The network supports military deployment, equipment replenishment, civilian visits, and school admissions 317 497 624 671.

Notable Mystic Realms

Realm / Location Distinguishing Features
Fairy Ring, Margeson A multigenerational network forming the Fairy Kingdom, with an interior vastly larger than its associated forest 59 116.
Qing Town Sanctuary / Dawn Headquarters Originates as “Fall of the Red Banshee.” Later contains the central Tower, Crystal Forest, transformed plants, and airborne rivers; identified as the world’s strongest Mystic Realm by the time of World Mother’s summoning experiment 59 181 290 509.
Los Angeles Branch First documented branch linked to Qing Town; includes concealed indoor and outdoor entrances 154 160.
Dawn Silent Moon Island Contains a main realm and a subsidiary military-forging realm; developed with elaborate formulas and plans for overlapping rings 264 318.
Archive Management Headquarters, Germany Woven around the Neumann family’s old house and expanded across Tulip Road. Contains labeled archive rooms and restricted storage layers 306 627.
Skyward Society Sanctuary, Kyoto Provides martial-arts practice areas and self-repairing buildings for destructive training 324.
Mount Tai Mountain Gate Main realm established among Mount Tai’s Daoist temples for the expanding Skyward Society 347.
New Cloud Ravine Uses passes and student tokens to regulate admission through its Shadow 624.
Nixi’s realm A fairy’s private refuge whose barrier cannot prevent Qin Xiaoxia’s entry after he establishes mental entanglement with her 455.
Akeniksen cave realm Conceals a guarded interworld passage maintained by a complex formation 458.

Limitations and Vulnerabilities

  • Not invulnerable: A World Power collision immediately destroys San Francisco’s relatively weak realm, exposing its defenders and eliminating it as a transit point 376.
  • Core damage can cripple functions: Qing Town survives its Shadow’s destruction, but loses strength and faces the loss of expansion, remote support, and audiovisual illusions 127.
  • Weavers can suffer backlash: During the Wasteland World expedition, dying Ancient Species injure several dozen Mystic Realm Masters by striking the boundaries of their foundationless realms 682.
  • Greater powers can threaten even Headquarters: World Mother nearly destroys Qing Town’s realm despite Qin Xiaoxia and the Red Banshee being present. Qin Xiaoxia therefore builds a separate realm for a later summoning experiment 509.
  • Ordinary residence has practical drawbacks: Although some members’ relatives receive permission to live in special realms, most return to normal society once the immediate danger passes because daily life outside is more convenient 496.
  • Technical understanding alone is insufficient: The Holy Spirit initially understands weaving but lacks the strength and Headquarters access required for Qin Xiaoxia’s operation involving Jilian’s body 316.
