It was a transparent brush holder, made of crystal or some other material. She had turned it upside down over a tray and fastened the two together, sealing the red insect core crystal inside. After rattling and crashing around within to no avail, it returned on its own to hover at the center, spinning freely and radiating a noble red glow. It was truly beautiful.
Lan Qiaoyan's first thought had been that this insect core crystal would look lovely made into jewelry.
Now it seemed that a fine thing was a fine thing no matter what. With her daughter's little arrangement, it looked lovely as an ornament too.
Finally tearing her gaze away from the insect core crystal, Miao Yilan smiled at Shi Chun and thanked him. "Thank you. I really like this gift."
It was no polite courtesy. She truly liked it, with a delight that lit up her eyes.
After giving her so many gifts, this was the first time Shi Chun had heard her say she liked one of them. He immediately beamed. "No need to thank me. As long as you like it."
