• Elder Sun refined Wu Wenjie and Ren Shaohua into spirit essence, killed other disciples, and departed with the six surviving Dao Sect disciples after Sect Master Chu warned rival sects.
• Lü Yanyan confessed that she had deceived Chen Yu for contribution points, shared her past troubles, and asked to become close to him.
• Chen Yu entered the Immortal Ruins, found the True Origin Mystic Canon and other supplies, and encountered Wei Yang’s warning about lethal challenges.

Chen Yu traded Wu Wenjie's remains for spirit essence, advanced his cultivation, and killed Elder Sun with a carefully prepared poison ambush. As the Dao Sect tightened its control and searched for spirit embryo essence, Chen Yu concealed his role and prepared to enter the Inner Sect.

• Chen Yu returned Wu Wenjie's ashes to Ding Yiliu, received two spirit essences, and learned that Outer Sect disciples were treated as expendable.
• Chen Yu cultivated with dangerous poisons, while Ding Yiliu challenged Elder Sun and was refined into spirit essence after failing.
• After Elder Sun tried to refine Chen Yu, Chen Yu resolved to kill him and infiltrated his cottage using the Immortal Ruins.

Chen Yu and Lü Yanyan entered the Inner Sect and became disciples of Elder Yun after Chen Yu demonstrated his skill with poison. As the Dao Sect faced rival factions, Chen Yu prepared for a mission to Black Mist Marsh and showed that ordinary poisons could not easily harm him.

• Chen Yu and Lü Yanyan registered for the Inner Sect and chose Elder Yun, Elder Xu, and Elder Song as their preferred mentors.

Chen Yu entered the Black Mist Marsh as a trial leader, uncovered a deadly plot, and joined Xiang Baiwei against Xiao Lei, who had been possessed by Elder Jin. After the trial, Chen Yu returned to the Dao Sect, gained new cultivation manuals, and formed divine sense.

• Chen Yu entered the Black Mist Marsh as a leader, warned the disciples about its dangers, and began hunting Black Pythons for miasma-crossing flowers.
• Chen Yu found Chen Hong trying to kill him, refined her body and energy into a spirit essence, and gained his fourth elemental spirit seed.
• Chen Yu was trapped in a maze formation, followed a Dung Beetle to Lin Xi’s corpse, and used a Nether Ruins Sect Token to enter Yin Hong’s hidden space and obtain his formation manual.
